Looking at obscure, Frankie Thomas (left) in Tom Corbett Space Cadet was a good looking guy. This was pushing his sell by date (he had been a contract player since the mid-30’s at MGM, most notable for his role in the 1938 Mickey Rooney/Spencer Tracey vehicle *Boystown* (yes Spencer Tracey -and all his… cough…..Catholicism- played Father Flanagan, the founder of the now defunct and notorious Omaha, Nebraska compound for boys. No irony, nothing to see here folks) not to be mistaken for the Chicago neighborhood. By 1950 he was pushing 30, after 15 years of passing for a teenager (blessing and a curse in real life), so he just makes the cut. Goggle his name with Boystown, he had a great mug in his late teens-20’s.

Not much is known about him, but he was a “bachelor” until he married in his late 60’s. No prior girlfriends of note, wife or kids. I saw John Bromfield in an Esther Williams movie recently on TCM - Easy To Love - co-starring Van Johnson and Tony Martin. Though he loved Esther (his swimming partner) Bromfield wound up with Esther' best friend, played by Edna Skinner (Kay Addison on Mister Ed).

Skip Homeier had two sons, and neither is named Christian. But they do look alike. I've heard some sons of Hollywood celebrities posed in Playgirl, but the magazine never drew a connection to them.

Lorenzo Lamas allegedly posed for Playgirl, but it was never concluded. Someone once told me he posed for one of the other 70s-80s women's magazines that featured nude men. Apparently, it has never been established Lamas was photographed nude for publication.
