Anyone Ever Have Butthole Problems?
I know health is a rare topic for the filthmongers on DL, but I've noticed a bit of opening up about anal health issues in recent months. Gay podcasts are talking about stretching, fissures, and bleaching, and more of my friends are discussing their pre-bottoming routines with each other. A lot of guys have had fissures, hemorrhoids, rashes from cheap dildos, STIs, and more. We certainly didn't learn about proper pooper health in school, so how is one to navigate these issues with dignity?
So why the delay on this issue? Is it because we're talking about assholes, and that causes embarrassment? Is it because we're men, and we stereotypically don't share our health woes? Or is it simply that DL is no place for talk about busted butts?

Bottoms do not like helping other bottoms out with these things, there is too much competition for the few tops out there.

R1 But will they gossip about it?
"I'm glad you enjoyed my bussy, Rock. It was a good ride. And don't worry about calling Andy. He's too tight to handle a real dick, plus he farts after he cleans out. Just call me next time!"

R3 Any man who puts things up his butt, I reckon. Straight men seem to have more issues with stuff coming OUT of their asses than going into them.

Straight guys have more pristine holes. Yum

I wonder what the chronic issues might be, and how that affects their bottoming.

For all those guys with the chronic issues, I feel you.

Active HPV case here, regular surgery, laser surgery and it's back again. What is butt sex anymore? It's not happening for me unfortunately.

I remember being horrified / ruined by this gay sex book by a gay physician my mom got me when I was around 15.

I would suggest checking out "Bespoke Surgical" and Dr. Evan Goldstein. He's a gay male doctor who specializes in sexual health for gay men, especially anal health. Lots to learn.

I posted recently about my anal fistula. Had the surgery and it's very painful when they "pull" the string that cuts through my asshole. Hopefully I only have two more months of this....but man, ouch.

There's a really good, free booklet in many specialists' office entitled "What to do about a common problem, PRURITUS ANI (anal itching)."
Grab a bunch of them before you leave, and anonymously leave them on colleagues' chairs. Lots of laughs.

Hemorrhoids are the devil and are hardly talked about given how many people of all kinds must have them.

Best thing for Roids is Calmol 4 suppositories. Keep then in the fridge or they get too melty to shove up your bum, but they work overnight.

r21, I let a fissure go for too long without getting it fixed. Basically, I was constipated and really had to go so I pushed too hard, felt something rip and screamed like a fucking banshee and from that point forward, I guess my butt decided it was going to turn that shit into a fistula.
Lesson here is, eat fiber. Lots of it. And drink tons of water. You really don't want this.

Eat your vegetables, get at least a little exercise, and drink plenty of water.
Otherwise 🔥

miralax is your friend
had a fissure a few years ago that i thought i was going to have surgery to fix. i did not want the surgery. I managed to heal it with daily epsom salt bath soaks, miralax, ointment from the doctor and coconut oil. I still take miralax for maintenance.

I’ve had prostatitis two times in the last 15 yrs, I think from taking decongestants, as I never do anal. A month or so ago I mildly fingered myself in the tub, then had a bout of prostatitis about a month later. I’m never doing that again! I think it was just coincidental though, the two events were at least a month apart.

If you live long enough you will likely have a hemorrhoid or fissures at some point. Buttholes are a high traffic area of the body so problems will happen.

I had surgery years ago for bowen's disease on the margin of my ass. (They take out a chunk of your ass to eliminate a precancerous lesion). That was fun. Ever since then, about every few months, I get a bout of proctalgia fugax, which is an intensely painful spasm of the butt sphincter muscle. When it occurs, I'm often asleep, and I come awake immediately, in intense pain. I liken it to a charley horse of the ass. My doctor suggest sitz baths, but I have discovered that just using an electric massager, just as you would use on your back, will bring relief instantly, or within 10 minutes. Apparently, it's just a malfunction of a nerve in the area - in my case probably from damage done during the surgery. I think everyone has some sort of anal issue at some point in his or her life, and gay men probably more than others because of anal sex. Even though everyone has issues there, it's an embarrassing part of the body to discuss with doctors or anyone, really, and I suspect that's why so many people delay going to doctors when they begin to have symptoms of colon cancer or anal cancer - often until the situation has become dire. I'm on the three year plan for colonoscopies, and probably will be until death, but since my mom had colon cancer, I think it's wise to do all those appointments.

There were times when I would force a bowling pin size stool out my chute and it would hurt like a motherfucker as it ripped its way out. It would be coated in blood and I would continue to drip red for a little while. My doctor prescribed Proctozone and suggested I drink more water. I’m okay now.

Who cares about your fucking issues from your own bowels. You weigh over 300 lbs and your turds are the size of my arm. Nobody cares that your asshole issues came from you eating a bushel of McDonald’s food.

I don't think I've ever had a fissure or a haemorrhoid, but as a very infrequent bottom if I've been fucked hard I sometimes find my hole can be a bit tender for a few days. I wonder if that's just because it isn't used to being fucked so it's almost like every time it's like the first time again?

If it’s tender to the touch, it could be anal fibromyalgia.
