Beats me.

His paternal grandfather is Jewish. He's one quarter Jewish on his father's side which is not Jewish by Jewish law which recognizes maternal descent.

Also Josh is the hawt one.

I like the Joy Behar story about the extent to which everyone thought she was Jewish. One Friday, she gets a phone call wishing her a good Shabbos. “Ma,” she responds in exasperation, “how many times do I have to tell you I’m not Jewish?!”

Years ago, People Magazine ran an article about a member of the Sioux tribe. In a follow-letter, someone wrote, “Funny, she doesn’t look Siouxish.”

NYC and LA historically had heavy Jewish populations, so many non-Jews especially in the entertainment are influenced by Jewish culture and humor just by proximity. One of Seth's grandfathers is Jewish though.
