Her late brother was the playwright Philip Dimitri Galas, who scrambled to finish up his works before passing away from HIV/AIDS at the age of 32.

can I have his stuff?

I got into her years ago. I remember listening to a live album and I believe she covered “Gloomy Sunday” and said pop music was born when Billie Holiday changed the lyrics to it.

Her music is very spooky. She’s kind of like if Vampira had made music.

She's absolutely brilliant. I got into her in the 90s.

She's a very very serious artist, but a total hoot to hang out with. I've known her for going on 30+ years.

First time I've seen a pic of her brother, R1. Attractive guy!

I like the cut of her jib!

I was just reading her letter in response to Barbara Gustern's murder. Apparently Gustern was Galas' vocal coach.

This is when I love DL.....Because I saw her brother's "Mona Rogers in Person" in SF and was bowled over. One of the most dazzling theater pieces I've ever seen.

That's so interesting to hear, R9. Gosh it's sad, such talent gone so early.
