Vote Kevin Faulconer.

by Anonymousreply 1September 14, 2021 3:34 PM

Yesterday, I had left my local library and there was a voting box out front. I saw several people go to drop off their ballots. Most seemed like regular Californians doing their liberal vote, except one. She had the walk of someone who wanted to recall the governor. Instead of a stroll to the voting box, she looked like she was marching. With her thoughts about making a change.

by Anonymousreply 2September 14, 2021 3:37 PM

Vote NO!

Get to your voting center today. Like right now. Today, is the last day to vote in this very dangerous election.

VOTE NO (on first question of ballot. We want to keep Gavin Newsom and stop any of those crazies on that list. Voting NO does this. There are two questions. You do not have to pick from the crazy list for the second question. Just make sure you VOTE NO on the first question.

Here is also a very good Voting Resource for you by Stop the Republican Recall. We need everyone to Vote. All Dems and sane Republicans and Independents too.

I mailed in my ballot over 2 wks ago and it's been received and counted. VOTE NO ON THE RECALL! Right now Newsom is ahead 16 points and I hope he keeps gaining.

by Anonymousreply 7September 14, 2021 5:59 PM

[quote] Instead of a stroll to the voting box, she looked like she was marching.

More like waddling.

by Anonymousreply 8September 14, 2021 6:00 PM

We need you to Vote, and VOTE NO. Do not get complacent about this. Republicans are stating throughout social media that they will be voting in person today.

Go to a Voting Center/Polls to VOTE right now. VOTE NO! We have to stop them. We have to keep Gavin Newsom in office. He is hard working and quite good, so this is easy. You can also deliver your mail in ballot to a voting center or a drop box, if you fill out out. First Question: VOTE NO. Ypu can skip the second question (all crazy people on that list). Then, follow instructions to fill it out properly. Or you can just go to a Voting Center/Polls for in person voting.

We need YOU!

we do not have any information about the actual votes yet. Polls are open until 8pm. Just go, and VOTE NO (on first question of your ballot).

The surveys being done are intention to vote surveys. This is not the results of the election.

Get your ass to a voting center and VOTE NO! If you have a mail in ballot with you, you can take it to a voting center too.

Polls in California are set to close at 8 p.m. PT — or 11 p.m. ET — tonight.

CNN’s National Political Reporter Maeve Reston is covering the race and says the first drop of ballots, from early voting, will come right after the polls close.

"We already know what a lot of those are. We know they’ll be heavily Democratic. A lot of those people are Democrats who voted early," she explained.

After this "blue drop," you’ll see more Republican votes as in-person ballots come in, Reston said.

California is famous for taking forever to count because there are just so many ballots to be counted. People are expecting this to be a decently high turnout election — even though it's a special election in the middle of September.

Also remember, there will be the “after count," which includes the mail-in ballots that were stamped on Election Day, but are received up to seven days after the election. In some recent elections, as much as a third of the total ballots cast were counted in that after count.

So be ready for:

First, a blue drop of early votes

Then, a red wave of people who voted in-person

Finally, the mail-in ballots that are received and counted

by Anonymousreply 11September 14, 2021 7:14 PM

Depending on the ratio, the result may be known sooner rather than later.

by Anonymousreply 12September 14, 2021 8:03 PM

That’s ratist!

by Anonymousreply 13September 14, 2021 11:05 PM

by Anonymousreply 20September 14, 2021 11:24 PM

Polls over the past month have shown growing support for Gavin Newsom. Earlier in the summer, he was polling in the high 40's, now he's polling in the mid 50's.

As Harry Enten said last night, there would have to be a major polling error for Newsom to lose.

And as Ron Brownstein pointed out, the early voting stats also favor the Dems.

Californian's get your ass out there and vote before the polls close. There is still time. Don't believe the polls. Only votes matter. You don't want that sorry ass Larry Elder. Keep Newsom. At least he's not crazy, and he is much nicer to look at!

by Anonymousreply 23September 14, 2021 11:25 PM

[quote]and he is much nicer to look at!

Ugh. Vote him out, please.

by Anonymousreply 24September 14, 2021 11:27 PM

I did my part already!

I also got my lazy ass nephews and nieces to fill out their ballot and I dropped it off for them.

by Anonymousreply 25September 14, 2021 11:30 PM

R24 Elder is a Trumper and he is ugly as fuck!!!

by Anonymousreply 26September 14, 2021 11:30 PM

I support Faulconer.

by Anonymousreply 27September 14, 2021 11:31 PM

I support Gavin Newsom, who also supports Gavin Newsom.

You should, too!

by Anonymousreply 28September 14, 2021 11:34 PM

R21 Kid Harry Enten completely missed 2016. I think he’s on pretty safe ground here but just saying.

by Anonymousreply 29September 14, 2021 11:34 PM

I hope “No + no” (in other words, NO to the recall and no choice for someone to replace Newsom) ballots account for more than half the vote. That will be a sure sign that it’s time to reform the ridiculous California recall process once and for all.

And to all you fascists who will scream about “fweeeedom!!!!” if recalls are made more difficult: what about the freedom of Florida voters to ditch Ron DeathSentence? He’s way less popular in his home state than Newsom is. But Newsom is the one whose job is at risk.

by Anonymousreply 30September 14, 2021 11:35 PM

I support my whole family.

by Anonymousreply 31September 14, 2021 11:36 PM

Newsom approval: 56%

DeSantis approval: 48%

But it’s impossible to recall a Florida Governor, even one who is deliberately making his constituents sick in order to enrich his campaign donors.

by Anonymousreply 32September 14, 2021 11:42 PM

I want to be spit-roasted by the two hottest governors in America:

Gavin Newsom and Andy Beshear

by Anonymousreply 33September 14, 2021 11:50 PM

R33 If you are in California just get your ass out there and vote or one of your spit roast partners will be unemployed and we re all gonna specifically blame his gay fans for being lazy. You want his dick, give him your vote! lol

by Anonymousreply 34September 14, 2021 11:52 PM

What possible rationale would any halfway lucid Californian have to keep Newsom? Seriously, please explain.

by Anonymousreply 35September 14, 2021 11:56 PM

Newsom won in 2018 with 62% of the vote. What possible rationale is there for replacing him with some fascist clown who can only earn 25% of the vote at most? Seriously, please explain.

by Anonymousreply 39September 15, 2021 12:03 AM

I am watching voters exit polling places on TV. I shouldn't do this because it angers me how ignorant people can be. Good luck Gavin, we need you.

by Anonymousreply 40September 15, 2021 12:14 AM

R40, just keep in mind that the vast majority of Democrats voted by mail. The fascist idiots being interviewed on TV are not representative of the California electorate at all.

by Anonymousreply 41September 15, 2021 12:15 AM

This is not looking good for Larry Elder. Exit polls so far are supportive of Newsom's job performance.

by Anonymousreply 42September 15, 2021 12:39 AM

Majority of Californians say Gavin is doing well on

✅ COVID (most important issue)

✅ Economy

In 2004, when he had been mayor of San Francisco for one month, Newsom issued marriage licenses to same-sex couples. Both parties thought it was political suicide.
