They saved the cat, but they'll kill each other, since none of them are wearing masks in the state with the second highest number of COVID deaths.

You mean "truthful," R2.

Actually, not r3: the 7-day average for Florida as of yesterday is 37 deaths; the 7-day average for California as of yesterday is 113 deaths.

The middle-aged lady the students are complaining about in the article at r7 would probably have actually taken care of the cat instead of just letting it go and not knowing if it's okay or not.

The cat most likely would have been fine falling from that height, although hitting the seats at a wrong angle would have injured it.
We talked about this last night, at dinner with friends and we all had stories of cats who survived much higher falls.
Glad the people were there to catch it.

R9, the article says it's hip was displaced. It wouldn't have been fine if the two vet techs hadn't fixed it.

R9, cats are more likely to be injured in a shorter fall than a high one because they don't have enough time to position themselves safely on the way down. There's an upper limit, of course.

They said it would be raining cats and dogs.

What's with all these cats roaming around packed sports venues lately? Goes to show that "curiosity" did indeed "kill the cat."

Displaced hip is probably from that asshole guy who kept on air pumping the poor cat in the air, while it was struggling to escape.

How in the hell did the cat get all the way up there in the first place?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | September 14, 2021 7:18 PM |
I see cats in weird places now.

The cat had a ticket to fly to New York to hurl himself off The Vessel, but he just didn't have the patience.
