DL fave and anti-vaxxer Anthony Recker, former baseball catcher, had a meltdown on Twitter yesterday.

I wanted to come to his defense because I think he's actually fine as a commentator. Certainly he's better than that annoying fuck Gary Cohen. But then I remembered Recker was anti-vax, so I thought- fuck him. Let him wallow.

I read on another board that two Twitter posters tipped Anthony Recker over the edge into his "meltdown" - a longtime Twitter heckler of his and an early teen kid (11 or 12). Apparently Recker blocked them after their posts. I don't know whether Recker knew one of the posters was a teen boy.

He deserves to be in a leper-type camp with other anti-vaxers. I recommend Idaho as that camp.

I am disappointed. That's not really a meltdown, imo.

I have to say it was surprisingly well written, for a (likely) Trumpian athletic pro.

He must’ve proofread that several times or had his ditzy wife proofread it. His grammar and spelling can be quite bad.

To be fair he is the most terrible commentator that I can remember. That is a specific skill set. You have to be good on your feet. This guy is just dumb or something. He has a learning disability or is just too airheaded to be a commentator.

Another thing is that you can’t bring an agenda to sports commentator. People see through manipulation and dishonesty and the guy just can’t be trusted.
