What jacket style(s) are in for this upcoming cold weather season?

I'm shopping online, and I want to buy something that's in style.

On a side note, is this jacket too girly?

I think it looks kind of butch (which I like), but I wonder if the fur is too much.

This brown lambskin leather jacket is gorgeous.

I read that shackets are big this fall (shirt jacket).

I bought two faux lambskin jackets on super markdown in London, one is silvery blue and the other is iridescent reddish black. I was so proud of myself thinking faux fir was progressive and then I read that faux fur is an environmental catastrophe that will take thousands of years to biodegrade.

Oversized "overshirts" and "workers shirts" are everywhere but they only look good on young skinny boys.

My 1987 green J. Crew jacket will still do just nicely.

That kind of jacket at OP is classic except for the trim around the cuffs and hem. I'd look for something that didn't have the fur trim around the cuffs and hem.

Do you have a photo link for this?

I've never heard of it, and I'm curious about what it looks like.

You can't go wrong with a fur-lined caftan!

Those are ugly, R9/R10.

They look like mechanic uniforms.

Something like what Michael Meyers from Halloween would wear.

Lanvin Overshirt

Yes they are deliberately worker shirts. Proletariat chic

They are everywhere. You asked, I have told you. I didn't say they are fabulous. But one of the it items this season.

I think one that is shirred in the back, like in Lange's Metropolis, might fit the zeitgeist.

You won't go wrong with a simple puffer by Moncler.

Unless you aren't a gorgeous Twink with money to burn.
