Wow, I'd forgotten just how embarrassingly awful Julianne Moore's so-called Boston accent was. Who the fuck coached her? Someone from New Jersey?
I am binge watching 30 Rock

It doesn't matter. The Boston-themed episodes were all very funny, especially Winter Madness. Every couple of years I binge watch 30 Rock and it's still awesome (Except for Jason Sudeikis or whatever his name is. That guy is a tool).

I thought I read that they purposely did that with her accent - seriously.

Why would they do that?

I’m re-watching that season too. The accent is atrocious!

She went to college in Boston and said she based it on people she met there.

The terrible accent was hilarious, and made her character much more enjoyable. I loved itwhen Cynthia Nixon played her character in Kidnapped By Danger, and did the accent even worse, as a wink to the audience that they knew how terrible it was.
Two Spider-Mans fighting sometimes make weird noises but they’re not hurting each other.

She probably didn't know that none of those people were actually from Boston.

R2 is incorrect. Just google Julianne Moore terrible Boston accent or anything similar and there are tons of articles on how bad she was.

R6 Yes, I loved the meta gag with Nixon going so over the top with the accent.

Love this show. Too bad there's so much of the painfully unfunny Tracey Morgan
