This is a fair point (there are plenty of trans people who just live their lives and aren't interested in attacking lesbians, etc.) but meanwhile the major organizations representing trans people (and in many cases claiming to represent gays and lesbians as well) either look away from the legitimate concerns you mention or actively condemn anyone who brings them up. There is a lot of institutional support for that tiny minority of people and issues, and that institutional support has huge influence among straight people.
