R49 here. Last night my roommate was video chatting in the kitchen while I was cooking with her ex. The guy is a former Marine and now works as a psychologist in a mental health center near San Francisco. Because they are a public institution, all his co-workers now have to get the jab. He is vaccinated but he said the law enforcement guys and many of the nonprofessional staff at the center (where they come into contact with hundreds of homeless people or addicts per week) immediately got "exemptions" on "religious reasons" from former military doctors. Says it's absolutely insane because while he and his wife have 3 kids between them (2 teens they vaxxed and a 7 year-old they can't vax yet), they can't imagine what kind of people are so sick in the head to risk their kids like that. Says he is CONSTANTLY worried about bringing COVID home to his 7 year-old and he and his wife take the test every 3 days and double mask at work.
