From everything I know about her, the one award she is eminently qualified to receive as soon as she competes is a Special Olympics Gold Medal in the Standing On One Foot contest.

I don't agree with that. I think for many actors the performance depends on the director, even more so that the script. If it seems like she's reading cue cards, that's on the director.
