Hitler was not a vegetarian; his favorite meal was squab, which is similiar to pigeon. I know some people think you can be “vegetarian” if you still eat poultry and fish, but I think that’s stupid.

It’s so tiresome and lazy to hear “Hitler was vegetarian so ALL vegetarians are evil” by right wing radio hosts, etc. I’ve also heard “he loved his dogs, therefore all animal lovers are evil.”

The implication is that Hitler hated Jews, etc but was a vegetarian because he “loved animals” and valued their lives above humans. Therefore, any argument promoting animal welfare can be instantly rejected. Just asinine.

The fragment of Hitler's jawbone recovered by the Soviets were examined not long ago and they showed evidence that Hitler was indeed a vegetarian.

The Russians claimed they did an autopsy on Hitler's remains in 1970. But the remains, if they were legitimate, were a handful of bone fragments and part of a skull. You can't do an autopsy on that.

I have a CD of the Hitler duets recorded in 1943. The Führer's interpretations are delicate and spellbinding. The duets are the most compelling of all his oeuvre.
