I haven't had time to tune into Morning Joe for awhile. Today, I watched for about 30 minutes, and I had to turn off the tv. His stammering and stuttering to try to get out a single sentence is beyond annoying. "I, I , I, I think that uh, uh, uh, uh, uh we should, should, should have kept uh, uh, uh, eh, eh, troops in Afghanistan." Mika glares at Joe,, and constantly smirks and rolls her eyes. She acts like she hates him. What on earth happened to this program?
What happened to Morning Joe?

I stopped watching a while ago. I got tired of his pontificating, mansplaning, and hogging the air time.

I feel sorry for Willie Geist who has a camera trained on him for long periods of time while Joe Scarborough spews on and on and on. Geist has to sit their and look interested in all of Scarborough's crap.
I'm confident Geist gets paid well to fake rapt attention, but coddling Joe Scarborough's voracious ego day after day must be stressful. Geist deserves better.

[quote] Geist deserves better.
Agreed. Maybe it should be Morning Willie.

This was never a good programme.
And, now, they don't have Trump to bitch about.
That was their brand. And, now he's out of office.
Thank goodness. They can all retire.

The stammering thing seems to be an affectation of the NY/DC political/media class. "We, uh, will be taking a look at that, uh, issue, and, uh, present our findings at, uh, the appropriate, uh, time." It maybe didn't start with Obama, but he popularized it. Weirdly, it's supposed to make the speaker sound smart, though I don't really get the rationale. Maybe it came from academia? I hate it.

Let's not forget that Geist was second banana to Tucker Carlson for quite a time. There's one clip where Carlson is eviscerating Rosie O'Donnell while Willie just giggles and cheerleads, like an Ed McMahon wannabe.
