Meghan and Harry Brace for a Fresh Tabloid Onslaught After Piers Morgan’s Victory

Does the term 'Vexatious litigants' exist in US law?
[QUOTE] Vexatious litigants are individuals who persistently take legal action against others in cases without any merit, who are forbidden from starting civil cases in courts without permission.
They are coming fucking close to it

Is there a corresponding law to temper yellow journalism?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | September 3, 2021 5:03 PM |
Sadly no R3. Like in the US, it’s legal in the UK for “journalists” to smear celebrities as long as it’s couched as “opinion.” They do it to sell ads or increase viewers/readers, as no one ever went poor pandering to the small-minded xenophobia and racism of the British public.

I think they will be moving into the desperation stage soon, realizing that they've lost their connection to the royal family, which is the source of people's interest in them, as well as the source of nearly limitless cash and influence. Unless they can make a killing through their endorsements, I think they'll be flailing about soon, desperately trying to be relevant.

Harry has a new idea for Netflix...
To stay relevant and be part of the queen's 70th anniversary on the throne in 2022, Harry is planning a documentary that will involve notables and the average person who have met, come in contact and/or interacted in some manner with the queen throughout her reign.
It could have a commercial appeal and be popular with the public. It's strange that the institution the Markles want to destroy is the subject matter they want to celebrate...to make money of course. The queen could put a kibosh on the documentary by telling world leaders not to speak with Harry and his team.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | September 4, 2021 7:47 PM |
World leaders won't speak with Harry. They aren't crazy. He'll get the brush-off like he did from Obama.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | September 4, 2021 7:49 PM |
R50. It could work. However, if Harry's memoir scheduled for release next year is a bombshell damaging the monarchy or the royal family, notable world figures will be reluctant to speak with Harry. He would get plenty of common people to speak with him, but the public aren't interested in the opinions of the average person for a documentary.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | September 4, 2021 8:04 PM |
R50 The Queen stopped Prince Edward making exactly that kind of documentary, a lesson that has already been well learned by The Royals.
Other TV shows have already been made to commemorate the 70th Jubilee by the main UK broadcasters.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | September 4, 2021 8:09 PM |
There's a soldier who served in Afghanistan who has a YouTube channel and posted about Harry's non-existent military service. He had to be accompanied everywhere by bodyguards and spent all his time playing computer games. A bunch of other soldiers have chimed in about how useless Harry was. His plan to make a documentary about Invictus - which Harry (as figurehead) created by copying games done by the US military - is pissing them off: Harry has no plans to pay anybody for their participation. He just wants to make money off other people's suffering.

This is pure manipulation on their part. The only genuine interest they have in seeing HM is to get photos of her with Merchibet, and to squeeze out some guarantee of titles for the kids. by Anonymous | reply 75 | September 5, 2021 7:15 PM |
There was a video clip somewhere of Meghan being interviewed by some guy who works for a Canadian entertainment show. He was interviewing her at some do and after a minute or so of boring Meghan, started looking over her head to see if there was somebody bigger he could interview. She immediately started attacking him for ignoring her to try to find some C lister instead. She had the same problem with the royals: there was always somebody bigger than her depriving her of the attention she thought should be hers.
by Anonymous | reply 77 | September 5, 2021 8:05 PM |
Meghan is clever, and seems like the type who has always thought of herself as cleverer than everyone else. Maybe it was that dish soap attention she got as a kid, or just the showbiz and private school competitive milieus she grew up in. Most people undermine themselves with that thinking. She would do well to let go of it, but she probably can’t.
by Anonymous | reply 78 | September 5, 2021 8:13 PM |
Meghan is clever, but not as clever as she thinks. She orchestrated their break from the RF too soon and has mismanaged everything since then. She also doesn't seem to recognize that she's totally outgunned in whatever war she thinks she's waging against the RF.
by Anonymous | reply 79 | September 5, 2021 8:16 PM |
R79 god there could be a whole thread on Meghan's missteps. Honestly that's what makes the story so enduringly entertaining. If they had any thought of longterm strategy, they'd be much better off.
Charles clearly LOVES being a grandpa, and has a bond with Camilla's grandchildren as well. How did keeping Archie (I'll always hate that dumb name) away help them? By most reports, he saw the baby twice. I'm sure he's sad about it, but between William and his stepchildren, he has 8 grandkids.
by Anonymous | reply 80 | September 5, 2021 8:20 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 87 | September 6, 2021 12:31 AM |
I agree r87. All this maudlin talk Charles and TQ not seeing the grandkids; I mean really? If the Harkles have not made the effort to establish a bond between their offspring and the grandparents and great-grandparents, well they'll hardly be missed ... and actually who wants to have to tolerate phoney-ass Meghan for even 5 minutes in order to see the children .... probably not TQ nor Charles.
by Anonymous | reply 88 | September 6, 2021 12:38 AM |
This request for a visit is straight-up pandering to be rejected to replenish the victim-bank. And if the visit is granted it will be straight up exploitation of the TQ's sentimentality. I hope to gawd TQ simply does not respond to their request; they certainly have not earned a response. Charles and Camilla should be the responsible party to agree to a meeting if requested, and that meeting should be done at some public royal occasion with the media's eyes on them.
by Anonymous | reply 89 | September 6, 2021 12:44 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 90 | September 6, 2021 1:27 AM |
It’s not “maudlin talk” to be concerned for the welfare of those children. I don’t mean taking custody of them or whatever. I agree Charles and the queen are not remotely interested in that. But surely they worry about them growing up so far away, in who knows what kind of environment.
by Anonymous | reply 91 | September 6, 2021 1:43 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 92 | September 6, 2021 1:46 AM |
Meant to clarify, an environment utterly foreign to themselves (Charles and the Queen). They may not need to dandle the tots on their knees but once a month, but surely they would prefer to have everyone in England, in the general bosom of family.
by Anonymous | reply 93 | September 6, 2021 1:48 AM |
R92 I think the answer is the guidance of a very attentive mother, from a close extended family.
by Anonymous | reply 94 | September 6, 2021 1:49 AM |
Meghan's points of reference are not the royal family - who are supposed to remain in the public eye for life without wearing out their welcome. She's a Hollywood nonentity who had to score maximum publicity as quick as possible. As she was always obscure before marrying Harry, with nobody knowing who the fuck she was, she isn't some A lister who is familiar with the concept of over-exposure.
by Anonymous | reply 95 | September 6, 2021 1:51 AM |
It’s a bit odd that the press keeps reporting that the Queen is/was so keen to see Archie, although this has died down with Lilibet. She has never been sentimental about babies. She strikes me as the kind of grandmother who enjoys the grandkids more as they become older and have things to say and are easier to engage with. I think she has accepted that she will never really know her American grandchildren, due to her advanced age, the distance and oh yes, their parents.
by Anonymous | reply 96 | September 6, 2021 2:35 AM |
The Queen has always been terrific with her grandchildren. Every Summer at Balmoral she would run around with them, there are videos online and she's great. They say Balmoral used to turn into a big grandkids' slumber party with the Queen (although I 'm sure she didn't sleep with them). She's not one of those "always there" grandmothers for obvious reasons but she seems to be into it, with her great-grandchildren now too.
by Anonymous | reply 97 | September 6, 2021 2:42 AM |
I think it's a hoot that they didn't get invited to Obama's pool party. That had to trigger Megan, "But we're royalty".

Just for a bit of perspective, George Lascelles, 7th Earl of Harewood was also a Grandchild of King George V (same as The Queen).
The people on the lower rungs of the ladder are expected to make their own life, this is how relevant the Harkles will become. Take a look at what his younger children do, nothing Royal by any measure.

Their "request" for a meeting with the Queen is clearly a demand. They've been floating reminders in the press about the alleged racist Royal Family member who commented about Archie and how they decided not to name the person. Unless their demands aren't met, of course.
by Anonymous | reply 109 | September 7, 2021 4:38 PM |

R109 They've told so many lies, the only people who would believe them now would be the demented MegStans.
I think they're up shit creek: given their constant 'leaks' about how they're still so close to the royals, their Netflix and Spotify contracts obviously stipulate they would be getting the royals involved in their "content". But the whiny brats couldn't keep their traps shut with Oprah. Byebye millions.
by Anonymous | reply 111 | September 7, 2021 4:44 PM |
I still think that the Racist Family Member card is still very much in play. We see how social media operates. Twitter radicals won't wait for an explanation, or to hear the other person's side before grabbing their torches and pitchforks and heading for Buckingham Palace. Imagine if M&H lied and said that it was Charles who said it. Would he even be allowed to take the thrown? The media would be in hysterics, not because it's a situation that even warrants hysteria, but because that's what the media does.
by Anonymous | reply 112 | September 7, 2021 4:50 PM |
The “Racist Comment about Archie” card is starting to seem apocryphal. If it’s egregious enough, it should have been revealed a lot sooner. If it’s not, why keep bringing it up?
By the time they finally lob the grenade, it won’t have much impact.
by Anonymous | reply 113 | September 7, 2021 4:58 PM |
Plus the two ding dongs couldn’t even keep their stories straight about the alleged comment.
by Anonymous | reply 114 | September 7, 2021 4:59 PM |
The racist family member was obviously Phil the Greek but they had to deny it because everybody knows it was Phil the Greek or risk the Queen refusing to ever speak to them again or - more importantly - ever give them any money.
Unlike Meg's demented fanbase, I have followed the royal family's doings since Diana married Charles. Charles was in fact much closer to Harry than to William. Charles overindulged Harry partly because William rebelled against him. Diana used Will as her confidant which wasn't fair to a teenage boy. She pretty much ignored Harry. So Charles tried to make up for her neglect.
People forget Diana rarely saw those boys after they started school. She only had 50% custody of them during school vacations. And when she did, she would drag them off for photo ops - McDonalds, theme parks, charity visits. Diana's problems with the paparazzi were of her own creation. Like leaking constantly to the Daily Mail to try to control the narrative.
by Anonymous | reply 115 | September 7, 2021 5:01 PM |
Like I said, they could just lie and claim that it was someone else who said it. If the three of them were the only ones in the room, it's their word against that other person's. Meghan Markle doesn't have a moral compass. She desires fame, fortune and royal titles.

The royals probably wouldn't get involved in the Netflix content even if they hadn't done Oprah, as there would be all sorts of accusations of cash for access and making money off their titles, which as you can see from the current scandal is a big no no. But who knows with these ding dongs, they probably thought they could talk the queen in to her first on camera actual interview.
With the "royal racist" they couldn't even keep their stories straight in the actual interview and Meghan admitted she hadn't even heard the comment. There's also a rumor going around that it wasn't actually a member of the BRF but maybe one of Harry's maternal relatives or close friends.
They probably will name someone at some point but considering their lies I'd need to see a signed witness statement from god before I believed it.
by Anonymous | reply 118 | September 7, 2021 5:14 PM |
It's like a game of Clue. I think either Andrew or Camilla made the damning remarks.
Here's a thought - what if they name and shame the culprit and he or she just flat out denies it?

[quote]Here's a thought - what if they name and shame the culprit and he or she just flat out denies it?
I guess it would depend on whether or not there were witnesses and in the absence of that, who has more credibility, Harry or the alleged racist.
by Anonymous | reply 120 | September 7, 2021 6:03 PM |
R119, even if they did name names, their credibility is shot, so the accused could say whatever they like if they choose to deny or downplay it. Not that many people care at this point anyway.

True outrage demands immediate accountability. To tease and withhold amounts to faux outrage and calculation. The public can see these things even if subliminally…
by Anonymous | reply 122 | September 7, 2021 6:40 PM |
If the "Archie skin" remarks are as horrible as the Harkles have let on, they would have already divulged the royal who said it. The couple really are incredibly "oversensitive" about supposed slights and are quite paranoid. They are also liars who can't seem to get their stories right.
by Anonymous | reply 123 | September 7, 2021 6:44 PM |
What's interesting is that the TV-movie last night--which was of course incredibly sympathetic to them (it looked like either it was made with their collaboration, or made to flatter them since Lifetime thinks that's what its audience wants)--did make them seem incredibly oversensitive to minor slights.
If they were left off the program of Commonwealth Day (since it was their last event as royals), or if the Palace remained quiet if anyone said anything offensive about them online, they reacted like someone had thrown acid in their faces.
by Anonymous | reply 124 | September 7, 2021 7:10 PM |

Meghan claimed the royal family made racist remarks about Archie.... to Harry. Then when Harry was allowed into the interview he said it was one person who wondered what their future kids would like... before they married.
The person was probably wondering if Meghan could breed out the ginger gene. Meghan who passed for white her whole life (only white friends, boyfriends, joined a white sorority at college) decided to play the racist card to suck up to Oprah.

No one accepts apologies anymore. The person would be branded a racist forever and the BRF would be accused of protecting said person.

R135 Meghan and Harry will likely be divorced in the next five years. Honestly, I don’t even give this marriage 10 years. Harry will have so many bridges to rebuild. The divorce custody battle will make Brad and Angie look amicable.
by Anonymous | reply 136 | September 7, 2021 8:15 PM |
I don't see a divorce. I do see Meghan wanting to be a widow, though. She's already distanced him from his family and friends. If he ever kills himself, she'll blame the press or the BRF.
I honestly think she's pathological.
by Anonymous | reply 137 | September 7, 2021 8:18 PM |
I figure they will divorce and it will go the way of Brad and Angie, or Johnny and Amber. Meghan will probably make fantastical accusations about Harry being abusive and cruel to her and the children. She will make him sound as terrible as she has made the rest of his family sound. Maybe make substance abuse claims and definitely make accusations of psychological torment. Wait for it. She will try to assassinate his character just like she has with his family.

R137, that sounds horrible!
by Anonymous | reply 139 | September 7, 2021 8:40 PM |
I disagree, R138. She presumably knows way too much about the BRF, things that Harry has told her and things that she'll simply invent if she needs to. She'll demand a huge payoff or she'll spill everything. The only way they get rid of her is her death.
by Anonymous | reply 140 | September 7, 2021 8:45 PM |
R138 Well Harry as already helped her in that regard. He's been only too eager to tell the everyone who listened about how out of control his drinking and drug use was and how insanely angry he was and how William (reinvented in the last version as Meghan) told him it wasn't normal to be this angry and he needed therapy.
He's admitted to paranoia and other things. Not to mention the books, docs and movies all portray him at best as an idiot whilst she's a saint. It wouldn't be too hard for her to paint a picture if a divorce actually happens.
by Anonymous | reply 141 | September 7, 2021 8:54 PM |
Given MM's proclivity for recreational drugs, it wouldn't be too hard to kill her. Sadly missed, and all that....
by Anonymous | reply 142 | September 7, 2021 8:56 PM |
R140 nah. That is over the top. Hahaha! She is going to dump him and use the kids as leverage. Narcs can’t stay in relationships for too long. She will cheat or get bored with this game and move on to the next. She will have to make herself look like a victim first, though. That is when she will start the manipulation of the public. Dropping hints that she and Harry are having problems via social media, or through her lemmings “leaking” negative stories about Harry. Then she will set up the whole abused wife scenario.
by Anonymous | reply 143 | September 7, 2021 9:13 PM |
Megsy has thrown her family and friends under the (public) bus. She'll honestly stop at nothing to make sure that she gets whatever she wants, whenever she wants it. The BRF will never be rid of her, even post-Harry/marriage.
by Anonymous | reply 144 | September 7, 2021 9:17 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 145 | September 7, 2021 10:24 PM |
When she starts laying out the foundations for their divorce, she will inevitably blame (a) the royal family, but not of course Her Majesty the Queen, and (b) the media. She will only blame Harry indirectly. And she, of course, will be blameless.

Officially R164 because social media (well all media according to Harry) is the root of all evil and people are mean to them on the internet. They must issue "global press releases" on their website every time they have an announcement. And yet they personally phone to coordinate with some of the nastiest Sussex Squad trolls who bragged about doxxing people and a 2 minute look at their timelines would have shown this.
Unofficially it's possibly because Instagram won't let them transfer their 10 million followers on the still there Sussex Royal account to an Archewell account and they'd never get that number back again manually and that would be humiliating.
If it was because SM was evil they'd have deleted the Sussex Royal account 18 months ago.
by Anonymous | reply 165 | September 8, 2021 10:34 PM |
R165, just because they don’t have a social media presence doesn’t mean the Harkles aren’t acutely aware of what is being said about them online. I’m sure Meghan is reading online for hours every day… and most likely monitoring DataLounge too.

No doubt R166. Harry admitted that he reads the comment sections of the DM. Hence the clap back at every petty story about them in Finding Freedumb.

R182 - I have a different view. H & M wanted a half in/half out deal with the Royal Family so they could make lots of money through their association with the family. The Queen said "no" that's not how it works. It sounds to me that they were pushed before they jumped.
by Anonymous | reply 183 | September 11, 2021 7:41 PM |
I think R183 has it mostly right but, when the Queen told them "no" to the half in-half out idea, they had to go to demonstrate that they COULD succeed without the royal family. Of course, that's because emotionally they are children, not adults.

They were the ones who issued an incredibly entitled half in half out plan without having agreed it first. If they hadn't announced it to the media and worked it out in private then they might have got more of what they wanted.
Whilst they were never going to surpass the Cambridges in importance they were still being given important jobs and would do so for the next 20 years at least. They just couldn't make billionaire money whilst doing it which was actually mentioned in their initial statement and couldn't say or do whatever they want. Which is to dip their toes into partisan politics and every bandwagon cause going apparently.
by Anonymous | reply 187 | September 12, 2021 6:38 AM |
I have no liking or respect for MM but I see her point of view. She had had a pretty great life in Toronto - a good job, friends, a local celebrity bf. Due to her behaviour, background (NOT race), and personal style, some of the important players in the BRF and the Palace - William, Kate, Camilla, the old courtiers - had her number from the start and had the knives out for her. The rest were just cold; you can see it on everyone's face at the wedding. Working in that family business must have seemed like a lifelong prison sentence to her and she started hatching a Plan B.
Harry was hurt, offended and angry at his family's reception of his chosen bride, plus his lifelong resentment of his lesser position because of his place in the birth order, so it was easy to get him to go along with her plan.
BUT- MM and Harry being who they are, they fucked it up, and it quickly devolved into a failed blackmail and extortion attempt. And here we are....
by Anonymous | reply 188 | September 12, 2021 7:12 AM |
M&H were making plans to leave the family even before the marriage.
by Anonymous | reply 189 | September 12, 2021 7:20 AM |
She did appear to have a great life in Toronto R188 but it clearly wasn't enough for her. She ditched the celebrity chef who introduced her to all the "Toronto elite" around the time she she her sights on Harry. Also her show was in it's last couple of years and her more important co star wanted to leave with the possibility that would have to mean a Rachel Zane exit at the same time. She was also in her mid/late 30s and would be looking for a new job.
Enter Harry.
I think a lot of his family had her number from the start but there were reports Charles took to her. Certainly whilst he was paying the bills even Finding Freebies referred to him as Meghan's second father. HM also made the effort to give her some patronages related to her interests and look her on a personal engagement early designed to show her public approval. A lot of people don't get on with the in laws but they don't live together and whilst some co-ordination is required it is possible to not have to see or deal with the other members for months at a time. We also know that there was BTS effort to find a solution to their unhappiness that wasn't what happened, like a few years in SA.
The problem is also that they both insisted that Megs wanted to jump in straight away and Harry was offended on Oprah when he relayed the suggestion that they take it easy or Meghan should think about not becoming a working member of the family. A year to get used to the UK followed by deciding it wasn't for her and leaving gracefully would have been better.
Or basically any other way than how they handled it where they want all the goodies and none of the downsides, want taxpayers to fund their security in Montecito and want to both trash the BRF and come back for all the flag waving.
by Anonymous | reply 190 | September 12, 2021 7:48 AM |

They've already blown through most of Diana's legacy (managed very well by the Spencer sisters) and he Queen Mother's legacy (managed very well by the Princess Royal) and are getting to the bottom of what they've been advanced/paid by Netflix, Spotify, their publishers, etc. They've got whatever Philip left them coming at some point but not anytime soon.
Nothing more is going to be forthcoming until the Queen dies and that may be delayed like the terms of Philips bequest. They have to actually produce something successful - SUCCESSFUL - for Netflix, Spotify, the publishers etc. before they get any more money of the "$20 million dollar deal!" they signed.
Sunshine Sachs costs a fortune every month, so does their staff - both household and "professional" - and they're carrying a huge mortgage. That monthly nut is breaking them.
by Anonymous | reply 206 | September 13, 2021 9:32 PM |

If Phillip left any money to his Children or Grandchildren it's likely that it happened many years ago and is held in trusts.
The bulk of his remaining Estate will pass to The Queen and then Prince Charles (tax-free).
R207 Any bailout would take the form of an allowance, conditional on better financial management (not theirs) and good behavior.

They were paid part of the huge sums they announced for Netflix and Spotify as advances. Same with the books. Harry's wife had a flop with "The Bench" and Harry's forthcoming blackmail works.
They get a signing advance and then more when they actually produce something. Netflix didn't give them $20 million, Spotify didn't give them whatever was announced as their deal. It's all a piece at a time and they have to deliver the goods.
So far they've spent a fucking fortune and they haven't delivered a thing. Lazy sods.

They can't go into debt, they'd be too susceptible to blackmail, etc. I don't think that can be true and that the Firm would let that happen as a policy matter.
by Anonymous | reply 222 | September 14, 2021 10:42 AM |
R221 the Guardian's anti-monarchist so take with a grain of salt anything they publish about the royal family
by Anonymous | reply 223 | September 14, 2021 3:05 PM |
R223 I think you are confusing The Guardian with The Morning Star?
While individual comment articles can be anti-monarchy the overall tone of the paper is very pro the establishment.
Which newspaper would you like an article saying essentially the same thing from?

Jesus Christ, how many fucking times is the inheritance conversation gonna happen?
Whatever he inherited, whomever he inherited, he's burning money like firewood. If he's not bringing in more, he's fucked (rich person fucked, but still)

R224 the Guardian acted as a vanity publisher for every crazy lie Bernie shills Sirota, et al. could come up with in 2019/2020. It's an Old Labour publication and republican.. with a small 'r'.
by Anonymous | reply 226 | September 14, 2021 5:21 PM |
So the BRF will never let Harry fall into debt because it would leave him vulnerable to blackmail?
The irony.
by Anonymous | reply 227 | September 14, 2021 5:31 PM |
The BBC article similar to the Guardian above says "reportedly" we all know that means there is no concrete evidence. Try again.
by Anonymous | reply 228 | September 15, 2021 12:32 AM |
Oh for fuck's sake, you complete wanker. Everyone knows the old girl put the money in trust for her great-grandchildren, thereby avoiding huge tax payments. Everyone knows this but you, r228.
One thing we also know is that people leave William less than they leave Harry (not true of Diana), at least that was true of the Queen Mother and probably Philip. William will inherit the Duchy of Cornwall as Prince of Wales and eventually the Duchy of Lancaster as King, he doesn't need the money.
The Queen Mother's extravagant spending was a trial to the Queen but she put up with it. She did get most of the Queen Mother's jewels, furniture, paintings and things but the money was already gone into trusts for the great grandchildren.

Here's one about QEII that references the Queen Mother's trusts for the great-grandchildren.

by Anonymous | reply 236 | September 18, 2021 4:26 PM |
How many times has the QM inheritance brouhaha been brought up over the years now? Can we just leave it at we don't know because that's precisely how the RF wants it? Note that Philip's is private.
by Anonymous | reply 237 | September 18, 2021 6:28 PM |
We do know. There's some freak who pretends we don't know or that it never happened but we actually know exactly what the QM left and to whom she left it.
by Anonymous | reply 238 | September 18, 2021 6:32 PM |
Regardless of whatever money they do and don't have and from which sources, it's clearly not enough for them or else Harry wouldn't have publicly complained that his father "cut him off" at the grand age of 36. Another few million from QM isn't going to change the fact that they have very expensive tastes and plans.
When they felt being working royals it was with plans to make hundreds of millions or more and run with the billionaires but it doesn't appear to be off to the greatest start.
by Anonymous | reply 239 | September 18, 2021 7:08 PM |
R238, if we do know, then please tell me: how much did the Queen Mother leave for William? For Harry? For Beatrice? For Eugenie? For Viscount Severn? For Lady Louise? For Peter Phillips? For Zara Tindall? For Lord Snowdon? For Lady Sarah?
by Anonymous | reply 240 | September 18, 2021 7:40 PM |
I don't see why the Queen Mum would have left anything substantial to Harry. She wouldn't leave anything to William because he inherits the Duchy of Cornwall. She'd probably leave more to Margaret's kids and grandkids. Harry she would have expected to be rolling in Charles' dough. Poor Harry lost his allowance though. She couldn't have foreseen he'd hook up with a hustler like Markle.
by Anonymous | reply 241 | September 18, 2021 8:08 PM |
Harry also received money from his Spencer grandfather. William received nothing as he wasn’t ever expected to need it.
by Anonymous | reply 242 | September 18, 2021 8:14 PM |
The QM put $19 million in trust for the great-grandchildren. The Princess Royal was trustee and managed the money quite well over the years.

R243, source?

Diana's father Earl Spencer left jack shit to anybody other than his direct heir the new Earl Spencer who has to hustle to keep a roof on Althorp.
by Anonymous | reply 246 | September 18, 2021 9:55 PM |
Again, its all "reportedly" etc. and your links are almost all PR fluff magazines repeating your same claims ad nauseum. Some people, including rich ones die in debt. It not something to be ashamed of. Harry will end up the same way.
by Anonymous | reply 247 | September 18, 2021 10:00 PM |
She died in debt, you fucking moron, because she put all the money she had in trust for her great grandchildren to avoid paying tax.
What is wrong with you, anyway?
Half a dozen media reports from then and now telling exactly what happened aren't good enough for you? Are you one of those malignant narcissists who is incapable of admitting when you are wrong? Jesus fucking Christ, you're needlessly argumentative with everyone, totally tiresome and incredibly stupid.
It is possible (and in fact it is the case) for the Queen Mother to have had debts when she died AND to have put what was left of her money into trust for the great grandchildren years before then.
by Anonymous | reply 248 | September 18, 2021 10:16 PM |
It is impossible to know if the QM created an inter vivos trust. They are not a matter of public record. So, all those articles are speculation.
by Anonymous | reply 249 | September 18, 2021 10:19 PM |
Exactly r249. That's what I feel too. You can post all the articles you want but without ACTUAL PROOF it is all speculation.
by Anonymous | reply 250 | September 18, 2021 10:23 PM |
if Harry did inherit from the Queen Mum as well as Diana, why was he whining Charles cut off his allowance?
by Anonymous | reply 251 | September 18, 2021 10:26 PM |
Because he's a WHINER.
by Anonymous | reply 252 | September 18, 2021 10:29 PM |
I guess La Markle figured marrying Harry she'd won the lottery like her daddy did. But it was mere millions not the billions she needed.
by Anonymous | reply 253 | September 18, 2021 10:58 PM |
Harry's lawyers specifically came out and said he had not inherited anything from TQM last March because people were criticising a nearly 40 year old for complaining about the Bank of Dad closing when he had two inheritances.
They may be obfuscating the fact that he hasn't received anything "yet" because it's in trust or outright lying but that's what he said.
Even a well managed trust split between the 9 great grandchildren she had when she died isn't going to last long when they're allegedly spending at least 1.5 million on things like TIME.
Also it's interesting that the articles always claim she left Harry more than William because he will have access to more money one day but never mention the other great grandchildren who will have to work for a living and who in that case deserve more than Harry.

Well, this is a very heavy and hearty assertion, especially since her will, except that left to the reigning Queen, is completely private.

by Anonymous | reply 261 | September 19, 2021 10:37 PM |
Rupert just fairly recently married Jerry Hall (of all people) so he's out. Jerry's not bright but she could handle a schemer like Harry's wife.
Warren Buffett? Hasn't he been married to the same woman for 100 years and lives a pretty pared down life out in the boonies? I've seen his office in videos, it's a dump.
But yes, that's the idea - rich super-old dude.

Just googled Harry and Meghan- it's over. A trickle of feckless PR articles. They shot their shot, the poor dears, and they failed. They had some shocking, titillating drama and gossip and the US loved it. They have their claims of racism from their once honored Empiricist bonafides, which will always get them a militant black audience and undiscerning woke people. But they aren't star material- she has never been, and he isn't without his family. Now they are adrift alone through their own deluded machinations in cutthroat LA. Where she's never won and he is truly a stranger in every possible way.

Wouldn't packing up and moving to NY seem like...losing? Megsie fully expected A-List roles to come flooding her way, and instructed her agents to only field offers from certain directors. That clearly didn't happen. What does she expect will be different in New York?
by Anonymous | reply 271 | September 20, 2021 1:32 PM |
R271, I don’t know what she expects. Maybe she’s hoping for something more “intellectual”? Like schmoozing with authors and publishers? I don’t think it would be any easier to break into NYC society, but what do I know? There’s a bit of polo here, for Harry, at least. The UN is here. Bloomberg, too, but I don’t think he suffers fools.
