He is now the only active pro baseball player to ever come out. He is also a country musician.
Pro baseball player Bryan Ruby comes out as gay

Go back in please.

I'm guessing that the last stop on this train is TRANSITIONING.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | September 2, 2021 6:18 PM |
He's a brave man, but he's in the minor leagues, so no one will care. And he's very likely just ruined any chance he would ever have of getting called up to the big leagues.

Players in this league never see the light of day but his team is a SF Giants affiliate so maybe they would bring him up to the majors,
by Anonymous | reply 5 | September 2, 2021 6:19 PM |
Well thank God he cut that ridiculous hair.

Fire the idiot who wrote this article. There is no fucking team in the majors by this name, therefore, he is not a pro-baseball player.
God, are some so desperate for a coming out story that they have to exaggerate?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | September 2, 2021 6:20 PM |
R7, it said pro baseball player. Minor leaguers are professionals. Don't be stupid. Save your rage for someone who deserves it
by Anonymous | reply 8 | September 2, 2021 6:21 PM |
It was beautiful hair, for sure - but styled ALL WRONG.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | September 2, 2021 6:22 PM |
Mazel Tov! His dad sounds like a wonderful man. I only wish he would have kept his long hair. When people like Ruby share their stories, and recall how they felt as a young gayling of fourteen... I cannot help but get a little choked up, or verklempt. It's nice to hear his teammates are supporting him as well.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | September 2, 2021 6:58 PM |
he's got a big dick nose
by Anonymous | reply 13 | September 2, 2021 7:14 PM |
Pro is absolutely a stretch here. But he is cute and BDF.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | September 2, 2021 7:19 PM |
Jaysis, step AWAY from the eyebrow styling, please!
by Anonymous | reply 15 | September 2, 2021 7:23 PM |
He probably blew everyone on his team. Traveling on buses at night & sharing hotel rooms. No wonder his teammates are supportive.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | September 2, 2021 7:25 PM |
His new footwear line: Bryan Ruby's Slippers, only on HSN.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | September 2, 2021 7:27 PM |
Cute
by Anonymous | reply 18 | September 2, 2021 7:27 PM |
Hello - why haven't any of you looked up his political registration yet? That's the important thing - is he with us or agin' us?
by Anonymous | reply 19 | September 2, 2021 7:29 PM |
Minor league

R12, MARY!!!
by Anonymous | reply 22 | September 2, 2021 7:36 PM |
In this day and age, he needs some pics.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | September 2, 2021 8:05 PM |
R19, he's a white baseball player from a rural Oregon county that usually votes red.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | September 2, 2021 8:13 PM |
"Ruby...the name sounds familiar."
by Anonymous | reply 25 | September 2, 2021 8:14 PM |
Check out the eyebrows. So his announcement couldn't have been a surprise.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | September 2, 2021 8:20 PM |
R8, I'm a baseball fan. I see "Pro-baseball player," the assumption is MLB, not minor leagues.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | September 2, 2021 8:23 PM |
It only counts if they're physically attractive. Clearly, this one does not.

Why, though? Minor leaguers are farm teams for the majors, their players are paid, so that makes them pros, and they get called up, put back, called up and put back all the time.
Trying to find out what his stats are, how long he's been playing etc. but there really isn't much. Plus there's another minor league player named Brian Ruby.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | September 2, 2021 8:43 PM |
R30, I know they're farm teams, but really, when people talk about players in the minors, they don't call them "pros". They're called "minor leaguers."
The title was intentional because "Minor Leaguer Comes Out" doesn't have the same ring to it.

Whoa, that guy must be getting a lot of heat from this!

You’re making our point regarding the pro vs. not pro argument.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | September 2, 2021 9:02 PM |
No, i think that would likely be because this is his first season.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | September 2, 2021 9:08 PM |
But, I'm not disagreeing that the "pro" thing was a case of semantics to make it seem bigger than it is. Also, I have to wonder how serious he is about baseball with his burgeoning music career. He just did a concert on Aug 31. My first thought was- but aren't you playing baseball?
by Anonymous | reply 35 | September 2, 2021 9:09 PM |
He's average cute. Usually guys like him throw an unexpectedly terrific fuck.

Yeah, but I spell my name the STRAIGHT GUY way.
He spells his name the GAY way.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | September 2, 2021 10:32 PM |
He's a nice Jewish boy-- his real name is Bryan Rubin - I'm guessing Ruby was a nickname.
He also went to Vassar which should have been the first clue for his parents.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | September 2, 2021 10:36 PM |
Gurl, those overly handled eyebrows outed you a long time ago.
