Listened to a diplomat on a podcast who worked in Afghanistan. Her advice--if you care what happens there, call or email your representative in Congress. The whole thing is a shitshow right now but they need to know you want them to continue to pay attention to human rights there. its very non specific but very helpful. Could even say that you are horrified to read the stories, such as this one, and hope they remain engaged on pushing for human/women's rights in the country.
