DoorDash is the worst
Is DoorDash awful everywhere, or am I just lucky? This week I tried DoorDash three times and every time the order was wrong, missing items, and late. Not just wrong OR late, but wrong AND late AND missing items. Tonight's order came sealed with stickers so instead of stealing items out of the containers, the dasher apparently just stole a whole container.
Is this normal for DoorDash?

A local bar and a chicken place that I later learned was actually some chain called Pizza Ranch.

No, it isn't normal. Call DoorDash at 855-431-0459 and request a partial refund on the missing items. At the very least, they should be informed they have a problem.

r3 = Loser. It was the phone number that pushed it over the edge.

I have used them a LOT since we got locked down last March (like usually at least once a week), and I've only ever had a couple orders where they didn't include tortilla chips or something like that, or instead of iced tea I got a lemonade. I get annoyed when they don't include napkins or utensils. As for the lateness, that's always hit or miss and I've just learned to roll with it. I'm not going anywhere anyways. The worst experiences I've had is someone who somehow ordered a 60 dollar sushi order, and someone apparently taking my order (the Dasher called me to let me know someone swiped my order). In both cases, DD refunded the amounts of each order with no issues.

They finally gave me a credit after multiple complaints, r3, so I tried them again since I had a credit, and their delivery driver kept my food in his car for 45 minutes as he waited at a McDonald's for either his or someone else's food. They won't give me a credit this time "because you already had a credit on this order." Then the dasher apparently took one of the bags of food for himself.
I won't use them again, but I thought it was weird that all three of my orders were completely messed up. Two different restaurants, three different dashers, all of them a disaster.

I think the larger issue is that no one really cares because everyone involved can pass the buck. The restaurant can blame the driver or the app, the driver can blame the restaurant or the app, and DoorDash itself has no actual skin in the game: None of the employees involved in the transaction are technically theirs.
It's sort of bizarre.
That said, I have had almost zero issues. And when I have? It's definitely been the restaurant that screwed up.
