I usually don't buy into a lot of this sensationalistic crap, but I think I actually believe this one.

1. It purportedly happened in 1969, when Bowie was reportedly fucking anything with a pulse, woman or man.

2. The rumor came directly from Bowie himself, and he seems to gleefully be throwing fire on it, which is very unlike him. From about the 80's on, Bowie really seemed to hate acknowledging his (allegedly) former bisexuality. He never went so far as to deny it altogether, but when asked, usually just chalked it up to youthful experimentation.

3. Bowie and Freddie were notoriously bitchy to each other while creating "Under Pressure", and Bowie subsequently forced Queen to erase his vocals on another track from the "Hot Space" album. I don't recall Bowie ever having such a difficult collaboration with another artist. Doesn't necessarily mean they fucked, but I like to think it's a hint that they did.

Bowie is awesome and cool, but not sexually attractive -- even when he was young(er). Mercury - a little bit.
