He was a big letdown from Groffsauce in Spring Awakening-vocally, acting and ass wise.

Evan Peters and him are very different types of actors who would be cast in very different types of roles. There is no comparison.

Hunter is always cast as the WASP, whether upper class or middle class, and always the nice guy or the all American pretty boy who can be a jerk but ultimately still harmless.

Evan Peters gets cast as weird and dark characters more because he fits that bill more.

The issue is older gay men fail to realize metro-sexual guys exist. They’re straight guys who are very Into their looks and dressing nice and grooming themselves, something only gays really cared about years ago.

Someone like Patrick Bateman in American Psycho is the perfect example of a metro-sexual. If he were real and weren’t psycho DL would constantly think he were closeted. But he isn’t.

And the popular guys in HS are either jocks, or really funny/cool and friends of the jocks or the very pretty guys who are all about looking good like Hunter Parrish. Although guys like him don’t need to try to look good.

Again, watch the first season of Weeds. Any of his scenes. He has gay voice. Then listen to how he speaks in subsequent seasons. He locked up his jaw to try to sound more butch. It’s so obvious. His interview with Chelsea Handler: also super obvious. No, he isn’t “metrosexual”—he’s a closet queen.
