No self respecting woman is going to allow the woman who broke up her family to walk in and out of her house like Barbara Jean does
Am I the only one who had this problem with the Reba tv show?

Why not? Bonnie Franklin had a janitor with a porn 'stache and key to the front door that came bursting in unannounced while she and the drugged up jailbait daughters were running around half naked and bantering witty repartee about the groundbreaking issues of the day.

As long as Barbara Jean didn't stand between the camera and Van, I was fine.

BJ was the heart and soul of that show, dummy. She was an amazing physical comic and and had the best timing. TV shows aren't real, cunt!

It's BARBRA Jean!

Barbara Jean was to Reba like Jackee Harris was to 227. After awhile, you really didn't care what the star of the series did, it was all about the scene-stealing supporting actress.

I thought it spoke a lot of Reba McIntire's confidence as a performer that she was willing to be the straight woman to Melissa Peterman, who was hilarious and got all the best lines (Steve Howey also got great lines as the dumb piece of meat Van).
It did seem initially bizarre that Barbara Jean was so involved in Reba's life when she had stolen her husband away, but that was part of the charm of the series. Barbara Jean was such a stupid, clueless, warmhearted person that she didn't even recognize that there would be a problem--she probably was happiest in marrying Reba's husband in that she would have an excuse to be around Reba more since she loved her so much.

News Flash OP. It’s fiction.

I was just disappointed she didn't sing Fancy...

It's amazing to think Reba is 66.

OP have you asked a black person what they thought?

I think Melissa kind of got the shaft, at least in the first few seasons. If you look at the opening credits, she had fewer pictures than even some of the kids, and was billed last without a "and," "featuring," or "as" credit.

I think Reba had a thing for Van

R13 who didn’t?

There was a very brief period when my mom and stepmom were chums. They'd shop together and my step mom and dad would come over for dinner. It didn't last too long cause they were both crazy but for a bizarre albeit brief period my life was like Reba.

I much preferred Malibu Country.

Reba the show is okay. The only show I know of set in (but not filmed) in the great city of Houston.

It was fine, because they took their time with it. Reba never fully accepted BJ until the end. It wasn't like suddenly after the pilot set up the premise they made Reba and BJ bosom buddies.

I never liked Reva. She’s too country for my taste. Music and TV show. Hard passed.

My cousin left her husband for his best friend. He forgave them and accepted it. So, yes, some people can forgive betrayal.
