The 1975 Royal Command Performance
This was just dropped on you-know-what and deserves its own thread, trust me. Excellent sound and picture quality.
You haven’t really lived until you’ve seen Telly Savalas “singing” sonething called “Who Loves You, Baby?” at 2:03:30 swiftly followed by Charles Aznavour.
Before that (at 1:18:20) there’s an excruciating medley of numbers from the flop West End musical Billy with Michael Crawford, amply proving that his dental work from the film of Hello, Dolly! held up. I’d have given anything for them to cut to Liz and Phil during his “Lady from LA” number from Billy-it’s mind numbingly awful and vulgar as hell.
And at the conclusion after they all sing “God Save the Queen” and do three “Pip, pip, hooray!”s they all just awkwardly walk to the wings with no closing credits.
WTF?
You can thank me later.

I would have abdicated had I'd been forced to sit through this shite.

I've actually heard before that the Queen's favorite TV show in the early 70s was "Kojak," which explains why Telly Savalas was performing.

Telly Savalas was a household name in the 70s and is totally forgotten now. How fleeting fame can be.

Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons must have been watching Kojak when they thought of this:

The Queen had a crush on Telly Savalas.

The Crown should have had an episode where Lizzy and Telly went on a secret platonic date.

Horny unsexed housewives were hot for exotic, animalistic, velvet voiced Telly Savalas in the early 70s. Bitsy fit this demographic.

I much prefer the 60th birthday celebration for Prince Charles.
