I Tried Wheat Thins Today For The First Time

They used to be good, but they’ve morphed into cardboard over the years.

The taste has really changed. They used to be nuttier and less greasy. The taste of whatever fat they use in them now is awful.

They’re too sweet now.

I have always preferred Triscuits.

I agree OP. I much prefer stuffing my fat mouth with Triscuits. Wheat Thins are too sweet. If I wanted sweet I would eat a cookie, not a cracker.

I had to give up all of those greasy crackers because they messed with my plumbing.

I love them. But only the 'hint of salt' ones. They are less "greasy" and salty than the regular ones. I don't find them all that sweet though.

Triscuits... hell no. Way too dry and thick. Never cared for them.

Triscuits and Ritz are the best crackers. Although I also like the Walkers assortment.

Triscuits are a much better base for good cheese. Wheat Things have become too sweet for that.

You're all crazy. The best crackers are Wegman's Entertainment Crackers, which are big, rich and buttery. There are similar name-brand crackers; I think Breton may be one example. Town House crackers are a poor second.

Triscuits are delicious if they're the flavored kind - I like the rosemary and olive oil flavor - but plain Triscuits are too thick, dry and chewy, like using shredded wheat biscuits as crackers.

Wheat Thins used to be delicious, including the sweetness. They were like thin squares of Carr's Wheatmeal Biscuits, I think they were called. This was a thick, somewhat sweet digestive biscuit that went perfectly with cheese. I haven't seen them in American supermarkets in years. Anyway, Wheat Thins today, like many packaged baked goods, have been ruined by the removal of trans fats. Fucking buzzkill health Nazis.

I hate wheat thins, they taste weird. I do love triscuits though, my favorite thing to do is top them cheddar cuts or hummus.

They're so greasy

When I was a kid, I used to make tiny little pizzas on Triscuits and eat them in the microwave. I don’t recall ever having any affinity for Wheat Thins. My parents made me go to bed after ALF, so I didn’t watch her show.

Heat them in the microwave, I mean. No, I was not small enough to fit inside a microwave.

I LOVE Triscuits but HATE shredded wheat.
