Why would the State downplay the significance of the pollution. How odd is that?
The Times Union reported in December 2015 that village officials and state and local health agencies had downplayed the significance of the pollution, and at the time said they were not required to even notify residents about the PFOA that was later found to also have contaminated hundreds of private drinking wells in the area.
