Did Jim Morrison dip his toe in the gay pool?

He’s far too hot.

Most Men are not gay !!

by Anonymousreply 1August 8, 2021 2:23 PM

OK, r1, but most men are not hedonistic rock stars obsessed with Rimbaud.

by Anonymousreply 2August 8, 2021 2:25 PM

Jim Morison looks like a Ralph Lauren model in OP's posted picture.

by Anonymousreply 3August 8, 2021 2:27 PM

Jim Always looked haunted . He was a complex man

by Anonymousreply 4August 8, 2021 2:36 PM

Jim Morison was too high 24/7 to dip anything in anything.

by Anonymousreply 5August 8, 2021 2:37 PM

More like an arm.

by Anonymousreply 6August 8, 2021 2:39 PM

CBS Sunday Morning too, OP?

by Anonymousreply 7August 8, 2021 2:48 PM

QUESTION: Did the lead singer of The Doors prefer backdoors?

by Anonymousreply 8August 8, 2021 2:50 PM

He was only sexy because of the hair and the bulge. The face was just so so.

by Anonymousreply 9August 8, 2021 2:50 PM

Yes and quite literally. he loved nothing more than toe-fucking young twinks with his right, big toe.

by Anonymousreply 10August 8, 2021 3:03 PM

I wouldn't eb surprised if he did it with anything that moved. I also wouldn't read much into it.

by Anonymousreply 11August 8, 2021 3:06 PM

Well, actually, one “incident” (quotes intentional) is well-known.

The hospital bill for Morrison's circumcision was on display at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ( not sure why). It was $10.00.

by Anonymousreply 13August 8, 2021 3:35 PM

Maybe in one of his alcohol and drug induced craziness, he might have. It was the sixties. I think he's straight, though.

by Anonymousreply 14August 8, 2021 3:44 PM

Possibly with poet, Michael McClure.

If Morrison were alive today, I wonder what he'd look like? Yes...an old man, but would he have cleaned up, or be a bloated drunk?

by Anonymousreply 16August 8, 2021 4:04 PM

I think he *was straight...not is...

by Anonymousreply 17August 8, 2021 4:06 PM

He was creepy

by Anonymousreply 18August 8, 2021 4:10 PM

JM seems like the type who’d be open to a little experimentation.

by Anonymousreply 19August 8, 2021 4:13 PM

I doubt it. But wasn’t he good friends with a Warhol performer- Tom baker, so who knows if he was a regular at the factory. He seemed to otherwise be in the company of hairy biker types, aren’t they the majority of his fans? I doubt he would find that type sexually attractive, but again who knows.

by Anonymousreply 20August 8, 2021 4:13 PM

R16, Morrison would NOT be alive today, please. That's like saying what if Judy Garland were alive today.

If Morrison lived to age 50, he'd probably look like this:

I’ve always thought he may have been, but I tend to pick up those vibes when no one else does (I believe Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan likely were too).

by Anonymousreply 22August 8, 2021 4:19 PM

When did Bob Dylan pass away?

by Anonymousreply 23August 8, 2021 4:22 PM

R22, I feel you. And a recent bio of Janis Joplin has Morrison at Jimi Hendrix's feet exclaiming " I want to suck your dick!"

by Anonymousreply 24August 8, 2021 4:33 PM

Not necessarily R21. Look at Keith Richards. He's still alive after his druggy heroin days. He's seem happy and cleaned up now.

by Anonymousreply 25August 8, 2021 4:49 PM

*He seems....lol^^

by Anonymousreply 26August 8, 2021 4:51 PM

He dipped his toe into everything

by Anonymousreply 27August 8, 2021 5:06 PM

Agree with R9. His sex appeal was mostly a matter of presentation, and that was when he was slim and wiry and hopped up on booze/drugs.

He was losing his looks even before he OD'd: he'd become quite fat and booze-bloated and unattractive. In which case, some of you might agree that he was better off dead.

by Anonymousreply 28August 8, 2021 5:25 PM

The Doors music doesn't hold up like The Beatles, or even Hall & Oates, who are currently touring, despite zero mutual chemistry.

by Anonymousreply 29August 8, 2021 5:25 PM

Linda Ronstadt saw The Doors perform when she first arrived in L.A. and they were still unknown. She was impressed by the band but was quoted saying at the time, "They could be great if they just replace the lead singer."

by Anonymousreply 30August 8, 2021 5:27 PM

R24, did he really sau that?

by Anonymousreply 34August 8, 2021 5:57 PM

According to Stephen Davis' biography, Morrison was always bisexual. He fucked boys from his teenage years on and, once famous, loved the Sunset Strip hustlers. Morrison also had relationships with an early male mentor in Florida and with poet Michael McClure. ALSO, he only liked anal sex with women.

So--yeah.

by Anonymousreply 35August 8, 2021 5:57 PM

*say

by Anonymousreply 36August 8, 2021 5:58 PM

[quote]Linda Ronstadt saw The Doors perform when she first arrived in L.A. and they were still unknown. She was impressed by the band but was quoted saying at the time, "They could be great if they just replace the lead singer."

She talked about Jim in her book. She toured with the Doors when she was with The Stone Poneys. She said you could only be around him for a brief period of time because he was a heavy drinker with a nasty, violent temper. Also said he wore the same pair of leather pants all the time, and apparently they weren't cleaned on a regular basis.

by Anonymousreply 37August 8, 2021 5:58 PM

His common-law wife Pamela Courson hated the fact that he only wanted to put his (reportedly) huge cock up her ass. If she didn't keep herself rail-thin and boyish, he stopped being attracted to her. Sounds like a closet case to me.

by Anonymousreply 38August 8, 2021 5:58 PM

His grave in Pére Lechaise is a fucking mess; attracts morbid sloppy stoner teens.

He should have been buried in some skank heap in New Jersey or LA.

Jim Morrison had a classically good voice, he could have been singing Mack the Knife and Moon River!

by Anonymousreply 41August 8, 2021 6:22 PM

R41, He did sing a song from 3 Penny Opera can't remember the composer's name. Lindsay Buckingham covered his song September.

by Anonymousreply 42August 8, 2021 6:40 PM

Kurt Weill and The Doors did The Alabama Song by him.

by Anonymousreply 43August 8, 2021 6:44 PM

He died at 27, but his voice always sounded like he was in his 40s. Such a rich, mature voice.

He had the perfect voice for Roadhouse Blues. Best Doors song by far.

by Anonymousreply 46August 8, 2021 8:43 PM

"He died at 27, but his voice always sounded like he was in his 40s. Such a rich, mature voice."

He was one of the few pop singers of the age who sang in his natural baritone. Most pop singers used an androgynous tenor/falsetto range, even Freddie Mercury forced his natural baritone voice higher because that's what sold.

Eric Burden was about the only other singer of that era who used a deep, manly voice.

by Anonymousreply 47August 8, 2021 8:53 PM

Interesting, R35. I never heard about any of that. Is the author of that biography considered reputable at all? How have fans reacted to it? A lot of books are written about dead musicians and actors, purporting to reveal hitherto unknown facts about their sexuality, but are roundly dismissed as fantasy.

by Anonymousreply 48August 8, 2021 9:02 PM

Also does anyone know exactly how big his dick was? Length and girth? Has the plaster cast ever been exhibited?

by Anonymousreply 49August 8, 2021 9:12 PM

His sister recently published a book of all his works. States he was constantly writing poems, in his notebook, envelopes, etc.

I saw The Doors in 1967 when they first started out (yes, I'm an elderLez) and he was magnificent. When they finished The End, the crowd was silent, we were all stunned, no one had seen a performance like that before. It was theatre at its best.

Saw them 3 years later. The downhill slide was significant. They were not allowed to play in the the concert venue because of Miami so they had to play at the fairgrounds. It was not even a performance. He was busy going behind the speakers, sniffing these long yellow matches-- I still don't know what they were. There was also another guy who was his friend or companion, dressed exactly like him in dark leather pants, sharing the drug sniffing. I was with my prepubescent girlfriends, we were about 12 years old. Jim definitely took a liking to us, he kept looking our way and smiling. Like a lot of these rock stars back in the day, they liked them young.

I am sure he messed around with anything as he was drunk or high most of the time.

He had a handsome face, even when he put on weight. I always liked his nose (sounds silly). It was small and had a nice slightly, upturned slope. He had great hair and a very nice full beard. He looked great with or without the beard.

by Anonymousreply 55August 8, 2021 10:42 PM

I dunno, R55. He put on so much weight he was unrecognizable to me in 1970. Drug addicts are usually too thin, such as this earlier pic:

R.I.P. Lizard King. Was at the cemetery in Paris on the 20th anniversary of his death. Can't believe this year was the 50th. Legend.

by Anonymousreply 57August 8, 2021 11:07 PM

Morrison was naturally heavy. He was a fat kid and a beefy teenager. It wasn't until he graduated from UCLA and became a starving, acid-addled beach bum that he lost enough weight to look like Dionysus. He looked amazing for a couple of years, but then his natural build began fighting back, and that and his alcoholism put the pounds back on. By the time he died, he looked like a bearish biker.

R45 Miss Beadle! That's random. I wonder what gossip she spills in her autobiography. Maybe she did Michael Landon. Maybe she took Albert's virginity. The producers probably had to give Ms. Beadle a lot of time outs.

Ronstadt tells how he ingratiated himself to two female roommate fans who invited him back to their place. He subsequently flew into a rage and trashed their apt.

by Anonymousreply 65August 9, 2021 3:27 AM

Grace Slick had sex with him and said that he was well endowed. And yes, like many rock stars with access to so many people he had sexual encounters with males. I've heard all the rumours. Why save that good looking face, cock, and body just for women??!!

by Anonymousreply 66August 9, 2021 3:30 AM

Has Ronstadt ever talked about how she would have high school guys brought to her hotels when she was touring?

She liked them YOUNG. Barely legal was too old.

by Anonymousreply 73August 9, 2021 4:03 AM

I remember how Touch Me was such a departure in sound for him. It was very produced & commercial, almost Tom Jones or Blood Sweat & Tears sounding. But I liked it as a teen, a d it was prescient. R73, Beatty was a thousand times hotter in Shampoo than that guy in R72.

by Anonymousreply 79August 9, 2021 4:43 AM

"According to Stephen Davis' biography, Morrison was always bisexual."

Who the hell is Stephen Davis? I've read several biographies of Morrison and none of them said he was into homo sex. The only gay thing I ever heard about him was that he put on an act with Jimi Hendrix, pretending to fellate him or some shit like that. I heard he liked to butt fuck women, but that doesn't necessarily make him gay or bi. I think he did it as a form of punishment for them. He was violent and abusive towards women. As for what he liked in a woman, well he definitely had a preference for redheads. The great love of his life Pamela Courson, who was as supremely fucked up as he was, had gorgeous red hair.

His pretty boy phase lasted about three years. When he died he was a bloated wreck, with sloppy long hair and a beard that did not become him. He died of a heroin overdose. Pam was into it; she'd nodded off and he took some of her stash and it killed him. He knew he'd die young. After the deaths of Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin he was out with some friends and said "you're drinking with number 3. "

by Anonymousreply 80August 9, 2021 4:47 AM

r80 he probably did anal as birth control, but he was definitely bi. Worked as a hustler when he needed money in the early days in LA.

As to his death, there were rumours it wasn't an accidental OD, mainly due to who Courson's supplier was. We'll probably never know the truth.

by Anonymousreply 81August 9, 2021 5:00 AM

Hi, I’m not an elder gay, and I want muscular Jim Morrison to fuck me.

by Anonymousreply 82August 9, 2021 5:07 AM

That might be possible, if you could transport yourself back in time more than 50 years to when he was alive.

If Jim were alive today he would be 77.

by Anonymousreply 83August 9, 2021 6:13 AM
