Before the pandemic hit, I would shower at least daily (twice if I was going out). I now only shower if I’m having company or planning to go somewhere, which is only a few times a week. I’ll be honest, even as an avid runner, I don’t smell as bad as I thought I would after going days without bathing. I’m not saying I don’t smell bad (no way I’d go out in public except to run), but most people really do overdo it with bathing.

Almost everyone I know well is in there 15-30 minutes. Total is 8-10 minutes. Two times a day. I wash my hair with shampoo every other day so that may add about 2 minutes. I do scrub the feet last and extra so....

I can wash everywhere, including hair, in about 3 minuted, but I always wake up super groggy -- so I usually just stand under the hot-as-possible water for a few minutes before and after the soap to wake the fuck up. I'd say I do usually spend about 10 minutes in the shower; and those are some of the best minutes of the day.

Celebrities are often as dumb as a box of hair. I started becoming jaded about celebrity culture several years ago. Last year sealed the deal. While us normies suffered through a myriad of natural disasters, covid, murder hornets, racial reckoning, and extreme poverty.... most celebrities ghosted us. A friend shared a story today on FB, related to this. She said that her dad, who is 60 years old, disabled, and lives in a care facility, gets a full bath TWICE A WEEK. He has gotten sores and other skin issues because of it. He cannot bathe himself. The two baths/week thing is a combination of factors like staffing and availability.

Imagine for a minute, being my friend (who is also disabled), living in a small town with maybe two or three eldercare options. Care facilities are understaffed. Money is tight. So it's baths twice a week, sponges & rags on the other days. She is doing the best she can with her dad, but it's still really rough.

Good, more water for me! I take two showers a day. Main shower at night, 5 mins in the morning for the naughty bits.
