When can I pre-order Lu’s Christmas album?
THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NYC SEASON 13 THREAD #3
by Anonymous | reply 394 | September 18, 2021 4:04 PM |
Didn't I tell you? I've convinced Lu to make it a KWANZA album.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | August 4, 2021 12:28 PM |
At Lu's next cabaret show, 30 minutes will be set aside for Eboni to lead a black history lesson.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | August 4, 2021 12:32 PM |
Can we start a go fund me to bring ALex and Simon back from Australia? I can not Eboni or drunk Sonja anymore….
by Anonymous | reply 3 | August 4, 2021 1:06 PM |
I'm available! And I'll bedazzle your vajajay in Quogue.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | August 4, 2021 1:08 PM |
On WWHL Betshan said she was very hurt that Eboni didn’t invite her to Black Shabbat especially since Eboni rants about supporting black women.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | August 4, 2021 2:22 PM |
R5 Eboni doesn't really care about supporting black women. Eboni only cares about women who can boost her visibility. Bershan can't do that for her
by Anonymous | reply 6 | August 4, 2021 3:02 PM |
Oh, no - Eboni's comin' up on The View this morning. Get your pencils and papers, bitches, and take notes for your black history lesson.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | August 4, 2021 5:40 PM |
Eboni's friends with Meghan McCain.
Fuck both those cunts.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | August 4, 2021 5:54 PM |
I'm surprised Eboni was even able to talk to Meghan with Sunny licking her snatch.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | August 4, 2021 5:56 PM |
Eboni mentioned "our heavenly father" during her View interview today.
Gurl, bye.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | August 4, 2021 9:28 PM |
Another pretty good episode this week. Last week was the best of the season. I'm feeling good about the midseason so far. I loved the lunch Lu, Sonja, and Ramona had to gossip about Eboni with zero mention of Leah. I've been getting the feeling the whole season that the women genuinely like Eboni and simply tolerate Leah and, if they had to choose between the 2 to keep, they'd take Eboni any day.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | August 4, 2021 9:58 PM |
Ramona addressed the rumors about her getting fired and refusing to attend the reunion on WWHL last night. She said she assumed Leah started the rumors but Leah denies it. I really like Bershan. She has a good energy and is lots of fun. But I wouldn’t fuck with her.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | August 4, 2021 11:07 PM |
R11 You will do more than tolerate me, bitches. You will bow down to me! I am the black queen of New York City!
by Anonymous | reply 13 | August 4, 2021 11:09 PM |
Sonja lied about fucking the hot male model last week! She passed out drunk instead! They had to call for help to remove her. How embarrassing (and too bad for her because she probably missed a ménage à trois with him and his girlfriend)!
by Anonymous | reply 14 | August 4, 2021 11:34 PM |
Oh, my God, Sonja and her quack "healer" and her shady business partner. Is she the dumbest woman on the planet or what?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | August 5, 2021 2:02 AM |
Lu's "music video" filmed on iPhones! LOL!
by Anonymous | reply 16 | August 5, 2021 2:05 AM |
the last few seasons of NYC have been so miserable.
Sonja is pathetic with her lying and drunken antics. She should have been fired 3-4 years ago but stayed on because other cast members left
Leah is still awful and useless and uninteresting. I don't give a shit about her siblings either
by Anonymous | reply 17 | August 5, 2021 2:06 AM |
The sibling scene with Leah was sweet, her brother is cute.
The business meetings with Sonja were BORING.
They need to beef up the cast, even with Bershan it seems sparse.
Luann said her Christmas album won't come out until next year, which must mean this year since it was recorded in 2020. I thought the filming around the piano was fun.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | August 5, 2021 2:42 AM |
no one cares about Leah's family or Sonja's crappy clothing line or her unsellable townhouse or her former in-laws or LuAnn's autoned "singing" career
by Anonymous | reply 19 | August 5, 2021 2:47 AM |
Leah’s pornstache brother seems normal. Her sister is just plain dull. Her parents and baby daddy have yet to make an appearance this season.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | August 5, 2021 2:47 AM |
they need to start hiring married women again. The interaction between the various wives and husbands always makes things more fun. I mean Simon, Mario, Bobby were all memorable characters. For whatever reason, the producers became so delusional they thought they could make this show the reality tv version of Sex & The City which has flopped over the years. No one is buying it
by Anonymous | reply 21 | August 5, 2021 2:54 AM |
R21 Uh, what about me, asshole? I manage Boy Fucking George!
by Anonymous | reply 22 | August 5, 2021 12:23 PM |
I hate Leah's sister and her Bettie Page wannabe 'do almost as much as I hate Leah.
Leah's brother seems kind of...bland.
And once again, we get the fake, tearless sobbing from Leah when she's presented with a memento from her dead granny.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | August 5, 2021 12:25 PM |
R22. Wrong city, dear
by Anonymous | reply 24 | August 5, 2021 12:26 PM |
R23. Leah’s tearless sobbing is always hilarious. That whole scene with the siblings was useless and boring. The last two episodes have proven that the show works best when the old broads take over.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | August 5, 2021 12:29 PM |
How many of you think Eboni's gonna continue talking to the grifting woman who tried to pretend she was Eboni's sister?
You know Eboni blocked her number as soon as she was done filming that last scene with her.

Housewives are easily replaced when they don’t work out but that’s obviously not going to happen here. Give Eboni her own show and get her off this one.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | August 5, 2021 5:33 PM |
We just need Leah off the show. Seriously, that's the only real bad egg here. Get Dorinda back, add Bershan, add *two* more women. Bam, we're back in business.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | August 5, 2021 6:15 PM |
Bring back Bethenny and Dorinda - and the network should suck it up and bring back Jill Zarin as well - she’s a way more effective way of driving Ramona to distraction than siccing Eboni on her. Also, consider bringing in Cynthia Bailey, who has hit her expiry date on Atlanta, but who is a good age fit and has the 1990s New York bonafides to gel with the core RHONY cast. Give her a Tinsley Mortimer-type deal where she moves to New York for four months and lives in a hotel - and she can play group peacemaker. I think she’s friends with a lot of the NY gals through the bravolebrity circuit.
Offer Eboni the chance to be the “main character” on a Blood, Sweat and Heels-style show that follows the a group of youngish mostly Black women striving in the big city. Leah can join her there.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | August 5, 2021 6:35 PM |
R27 So Eboni's a hypocritical gold digger preying on rich white dudes who only practiced law for 4 years and who's a convicted shoplifter.
A real gem. Lecture us some more, Eboni.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | August 5, 2021 6:44 PM |
I could told you just by looking at that spacious TriBeCa apartment with the menorah and the paintings of Israeli-street scenes, that Eboni was in there as some sort of severance package after a breakup with some older rich Jewish guy.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | August 5, 2021 6:49 PM |
I mentioned on a prior thread that Eboni's comment about practicing "every kind of law" was a telltale sign that she has almost no real legal experience—and that's backed up by her LinkedIn page. To be honest, she reminds me of the awful Nyasha from the awful "A-List: New York" who tried to claim she was a CEO by age 25 because she had started some shitty wig company. Both of them are grifters with giant egos and both of them knew that creating drama would give them screen time, while playing the victim card would give them cover for creating that drama. In Nyasha's case, she hijacked an entire season by claiming a light touch on her arm was an assault…and then the show was canceled. Eboni is essentially doing the same thing by using the BLM movement and social justice to put herself in the center of every conversation/controversy while using buzzwords like "white fragility" and "gaslighting" to try and deflect legitimate criticisms of her behavior. And now RHONY is in danger of being canceled too. Not coincidentally, Nyasha now works in Diversity & Inclusion, so she's clearly figured out the same grift Eboni has going on at RHONY, only it's not being televised.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | August 5, 2021 7:04 PM |
R33 Uh, don't forget I'm also a victim of microagressions, bitches!
by Anonymous | reply 34 | August 5, 2021 7:11 PM |
Omg Nyasha. You’re right. Single handedly destroyed the season and the show was canceled. She was horrible. There are definitely similarities with Eboni.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | August 5, 2021 7:23 PM |
R27 what a fucking fraud and egomaniac - I called it too. Comparing herself to Simon Biles? Using rich Jewish men for their coin? Of course I’m racist by daring to criticize her.
I actually enjoyed Ramona on WWHL this week. Anyone who thinks the show could survive without her is fucking insane.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | August 5, 2021 8:57 PM |
It looks like she had to vacate the Tribeca apartment and has bought her very first home and you know where it is. “There's nowhere else I’m living but Harlem,” she says. Out with the menorahs. In with the beaded African masks.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | August 5, 2021 10:03 PM |
It’s so obvious that Eboni has spent the vast majority of her adult life doggedly chasing media exposure and pivoting and inventing new versions of herself to get on camera. Whereas Ramona in her typical honey badger way just blundered into being one of the pioneers of a whole new type of celebrity after thirty years of successful toil in the schmatta business.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | August 5, 2021 10:06 PM |
This show was going down way before Eboni. Leah was a disaster last year despite the delusion at Bravo that she should be their new it-girl. I mostly saw negative comments online meanwhile all the guests on Andy's show kept saying she was amazing. In the past few seasons it revolved all around the drunken antics and embarrassments of Sonja, LuAnn and Dorinda. Now Dorinda is gone and LuAnn has straightened out. Sonja is still pathetic.
They need to bring back some former cast members and then get others who bring more to the table.
I think Elyse should get another shot just to freak Ramona out.
If Bethenny's willing, she should come back as well. Dorinda only if she is sober.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | August 5, 2021 10:48 PM |
If I have to see Leah in that pink piece of shit with her tits flopping out during her confessionals one more time, I'm gonna barf.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | August 5, 2021 10:58 PM |
FYI: at this point, Real Housewives of Potomac now gets higher ratings/more viewers than RHONY. I think RHONY is next to last in the franchise.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | August 5, 2021 11:11 PM |
Last season was entertaining but I cringed over Dorinda bullying Tinsley. Leah was fun but now she’s trying to take over. Love or hate Ramona she makes her own money and I’ve never heard anything shady about her finances. She also kicked Mario to the curb but stays on good terms because of her kid. She may be clueless and self centered but she’s not stupid or a grifter.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | August 5, 2021 11:31 PM |
Wasn't one of Ramona's side hustles buying leftover designer fashions and reselling them to stores like Marshall's and Century 21? Gotta hand it to her. It bought that house. She lives better than any of the others.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | August 5, 2021 11:34 PM |
Potomac has a flawless no-weak-link ensemble that has the sort of chemistry that RHONY did at its peak (seasons 7-10). It deserves to be the highest rated franchises.
Frankly, I think RHONY has to have that sort of cast chemistry to compensate for the fact their lifestyles and life-stage are the least relatable/aspirational to your average Bravo-watching frau.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | August 5, 2021 11:42 PM |
R43. It always felt like Ramona was the real breadwinner in the family. She said her mother told her never to depend on a man for financial support. And I gotta say she looked amazing on WWHL. Maybe the best I’ve ever seen her look and her dress was very flattering.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | August 6, 2021 1:05 AM |
R37 in other words: she’s paying for it herself so Harlem it is! R43 - she’s also I hate to say it (because she’s such a deplorable) the friendliest in person. Well as long as your not a waiter.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | August 6, 2021 2:28 AM |
How come no white women on Potomac or Atlanta? Someone to enlighten and educate them. Yeah, like that'll happen.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | August 6, 2021 2:42 AM |
R47 Atlanta I understand, but Potomac is tne whitest JAPiest place ever - literally never seen any WOC. Where tf do they dig them up?
by Anonymous | reply 48 | August 6, 2021 2:45 AM |
Karen is the only one who lives in Potomac proper - or at least the house she uses for filming purposes is in Potomac proper. But obviously, the larger DMV is a part of the country where there is a sizeable and established Black middle class - though Robyn and Wendy are basically in Baltimore.
It might not be PC to say, but as a white viewer, I appreciate that the Potomac cast is only comprised of “WOC” because it sheds light on intra- community dynamics among Black people that I didn’t really know much about - ie. Gizelle and Robyn being very light-skinned members of the generational Black upper-middle-class and their responses to “rich but hood” Monique; middle class but NOKD Candiace; biracial but Black-identifying Ashley; biracial and “both-sides”identifying Katie Rost; Nigerian-immigrant Wendy, and of course, erstwhile country girl Karen.
I suspect if there were white women on the show, those dynamics would have been shuffled under the rug so as to not make scandal in front of white people.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | August 6, 2021 3:19 AM |

I think it's so hysterical that Eboni, Queen of the Black Race, has been funded by a rich white Jewish guy.
That blows her "black empowerment" campaign to hell. She's nothing more than a scheming, grifting wannabe, desperate for fortune and fame.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | August 6, 2021 1:14 PM |
Doesn't matter. She's got the producers by the balls and she and they know it. It's hysterical.

New on Bravo: "Still More Exclusively Black Housewives of Whatever Fuck City There is Left," starring Eboni K. Williams.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | August 6, 2021 1:47 PM |
R57 They should give her a show that they know is destined to fail after one season. They could call it "Ebony Eboni" or some ridiculous thing like that and feature her walking around New York City, handing out flyers for her black culture lectures and black shabats (only A-list black people invited).
by Anonymous | reply 60 | August 6, 2021 1:48 PM |
Eboni isn't stupid—she knows that getting her own show would likely mean getting canceled after one season. The best Bravo can hope for is a huge payout where Eboni agrees to publicly state that she's chosen to move on and to not to disparage Bravo. Personally, though, I think they should save their money and just cancel the show. Let Eboni be known as the reason RHONY got canceled. Then they can just relaunch it in a few years with a whole new cast, which it desperately needs anyway.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | August 6, 2021 1:57 PM |
They could add another black woman who will call out Eboni.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | August 6, 2021 2:03 PM |
R62 They're trying that with Bershan.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | August 6, 2021 2:04 PM |
R30 has the right idea. Bring back/relaunch 'Blood, Sweat, and Heels' and put Eboni on that show. She'd be great or she'd have to shut up because those black women were already woke. School would be closed!
by Anonymous | reply 64 | August 6, 2021 7:41 PM |
R50 is colorblind and dumb. Robin is obviously not white. She looks like she could be biracial/multiracial or latina, but not pass for white.

Eboni's so-called " engagement."
According to the outlet, Steven is 53 and lives in New Jersey with his three children, who are 21, 18, and 14, in his $2 million home. While Eboni seemed to blame the children for their separation, a source told the outlet that the newest housewife never took an interest in his family and was far from getting married. The source revealed that the kids barely knew her, and she barely knew them, saying, "She just wasn’t engaged in that part of his life at all. They really weren’t a New Jersey couple."
The entire The Real Housewives of New York cast is currently in disarray, according to the production source, and there may be no coming back for Eboni since her relationships with the other women are severely strained. The season 13 reunion has already been pushed back to September, with new rumors claiming it has now been postponed indefinitely. Evidently, the rift has grown too toxic between Eboni and other key housewives. Eboni now not only has to deal with her beau's identity being leaked, but she also has to try and convince production why she should be brought back for a sophomore season of The Real Housewives of New York.
by Anonymous | reply 71 | August 8, 2021 5:45 PM |
The only thing you can count on when RHONY returns, is that Dorinda will be back full time. I would bet 5K right now.
Other than that, I think that Eboni and Lu are sure things as well.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | August 8, 2021 5:48 PM |
R72, yeah ITA. Plus, love her of hate her, Eboni adds a new dynamic to the show and makes it feel more NYCish.
by Anonymous | reply 73 | August 8, 2021 5:51 PM |
R73- I agree- I don't even mind Eboni.
The show's chemistry is just off- Its more than each episode having an Afterschool Special moment (or entire episodes) .
Leah is a problem. I actually liked her last year, but this year she is SO contrived and thirsty. She was clearly told that she was the new star. Top shelf new agent representation as well. It was clear in the first episode that this was Bravo's opinion as well. Doubtful now.
Sonja has been on fumes for so long, but she is the only person on the show with that underdog, lovable quality. I really cannot imagine it without her. (I think that is what Eboni feels about Sonja as well- she is a good person)
Where Ramona is concerned, where there's smoke, there's fire. But the report about her firing really didn't add up. Wasn't Ramona the least of the show's problems? Due to her horrible personality, republican beliefs, and charisma- she is money in the bank.
Now that I think about it, Lu is more likely to be fired if you really look at the show. Probably Lu and Leah (Bravo does look at viewer backlash)
by Anonymous | reply 74 | August 8, 2021 5:58 PM |
Eboni has changed the dynamic of the show, and not for the better.
I have little use for an African American activist who fucks rich white guys to get ahead.

R75 - that is common for successful black women in NY
by Anonymous | reply 77 | August 8, 2021 6:05 PM |
I have to hand it to Sonja, she does have a real knack for evoking wholly undeserved sympathy. I’m completely baffled by the narrative that she is a loyal long-suffering friend to Ramona and Luann - she hopped off the Ramona train as soon as Bethenny came back and established herself as the cast alpha dog and she is clearly very resentful that Ramona’s flush enough to be on the c-tier of the social circuit. And she’s always resented Luann’s love life (god only knows why?) and has taken obvious delight in all of Lu’s faceplants on the champs d’amour.
by Anonymous | reply 78 | August 8, 2021 6:19 PM |
I think it's clear that Sonja is both resentful of Ramona for being a user/friend hopper and also that Ramona has her own money. Sonja and Ramona go back decades but it was Sonja who was the more successful NYC socialite. Then when she landed the Morgan family, things opened up even more for her. She introduced Ramona to all her friends who have now left her, or at least have less use for her these days because following her divorce she is broke-rich (like Trump) and a drunk. Ramona now hangs out with Sonja's former society friends more often these days and unlike Sonja, has the money to keep gallivanting around to Palm Beach, Aspen, the Hamptons etc.
Sonja is just envious of LuAnn because LuAnn is a beautiful woman. LuAnn despite the previous drinking issues has not really lost her looks and can still land man after man.
Sonja has good skin for her age but let's be honest she's no beauty

by Anonymous | reply 87 | August 10, 2021 2:49 AM |
R86 he's delusional if he thinks just adding 1 more cast member to the current group will fix things. Dorinda is a big personality but just bringing her back still won't solve the problem of how horrible Leah is and how tired Sonja and Ramona are.
and if producers decide to just add Tinsley back to the group, that would be even worse. She was never interesting in her tenure on the show.
They need to do a bigger shakeup than just adding 1 person back

I actually thought the dinner was an attempt at a very nice moment between Eboni's friend Archie and her black friends. Ramona, Sonja and Leah completely ruined it though.
Anyone saying Eboni is more of a problem than those 3 is delusional.
Leah interrupted the dinner because she wasn't getting a good view from facetime
Ramona just started talking about herself and how she was "boycotted by the Jews" in college. What the hell was that.
Sonja tried cutting Ramona off but was offensive too "the Blacks and the Jews"
LuAnn was actually minding her manners. I was surprised she had no idea about challah bread though.

Eboni invited the other women in front of Bershan, R104, abs told Bershan she only was inviting her black friends who she had experienced the holy land with. Not kidding lol. That Black Sabbath was a mess and I wish bershan had been there.

I passed this show as I was flipping channels and saw someone getting presented with a cake that had to be blurred--yep, a cake in the shape of a penis!
A cake! In the shape of....a PENIS!!! Can you imagine??? Well, it happened, right there on my TV! My stars, how absolutely Outrageous! A cake in the shape of a penis!! What entertaining television that is!

They had a penis cake at a Shabbat dinner? How progressive! Hope it was circumcised.

by Anonymous | reply 108 | August 11, 2021 11:59 AM |
Ramona objects to Eboni making everything " black" as if blacks had an exclusive patent on the "discrimination" card. Notice that every time Eboni says " black," Ramona immediately questions her on why she limited herself to exclusively black and not include others. Her behavior at Shabbat dinner was disgraceful, but consistent. There is an inner rage inside her that Eboni only sees color, which is why she does not want to participate in the reunion for fear that she will be goaded into pronouncements which would label her a white supremacist by the Twits. And everyone knows that Eboni would relish that opportunity. If I were Ramona, I would refuse to appear at all, lest she endanger her future business opportunities
by Anonymous | reply 109 | August 11, 2021 12:50 PM |
Ramona objects to Eboni making everything black because it's tedious. And while Ramona's behavior was out of line, I did sort of enjoy watching Eboni's attempt to co-opt Judaism crash and burn.
by Anonymous | reply 110 | August 11, 2021 3:31 PM |
Eboni " horrified", but of course she couldn't help but mention Ramona's " white isolation." She only sees color unless she is grifting a rich white man.

Last night the cast of RHOBH had a conversation about race. Garcelle and Crystal made their points by telling personal stories and the other women listened. It was all very grown up. No soapbox. No yelling and screaming. And that’s how it should be done.

[quote]"From my experience in television, any expectation to carry ratings around a program will go to the veteran talent. So I think it's nonsense to correlate the ratings performance of a 13-year series to a freshman talent," she told Insider in an interview last month. "I just don't buy it.
What Eboni is trying to say is: "It ain't me babe." But she has to use her words. Her problem is she has no idea how condescending she is, i.e., telling the girls she's the most educated at Luann's, etc. That's her flaw.
by Anonymous | reply 131 | August 12, 2021 1:37 PM |
R125 Actually, no, Eboni. When a show with a decade of success brings on a whining, self-important, preachy, self-styled know-it-all and the show's ratings suddenly plummet, that ain't the fault of the veteran cast members. That's a direct reflection of you, sweetie, and how universally loathed you are.

The producers are to blame for hiring Eboni to help Leah bring Ramona down. It didn’t work. They destroyed the show and now they’re stuck with Eboni. Eboni is boring. We don’t care about her. As horrible as Leah is she was fun last season but this season she’s on a mission and has alienated many of the viewers who loved her. Sad.

I’m not necessarily surprised, given that I think the core cast considers Page Six to be only current events worth following, but man, it would have been funny if one of them would have asked Eboni during Black Shabbat to explain intersectionality as it applies to the Palestinians.

again the ratings have been steadily falling since before Eboni. The last 4 years have seen a decline. Last year took a HUGE hit and this year has kept seeing that happen. There was a problem before Eboni but she's easy to blame. Does she have faults sure but Leah to me is unwatchable and Ramona/Sonja are both tired and pathetic.
Bravo made the mistake of keeping Ramona, Sonja and LuAnn around forever and now the 2 newest cast members do not really mesh with them so it's all imploding.
Next season either Ramona or Sonja should be fired along with Leah but that won't happen. Andy hinted the other day they want to keep this group of 5 and just add 1 more cast member to make it 6 which won't do the trick. There needs to be a bigger shakeup

It looks like Dorinda will be back next season.
The Shabbat scene was horrible. The lovely Black guests just sat at the table watching in alarmed amusement as the housewives made complete narcissistic idiots of themselves as usual.
And what was with that décor? Cages everywhere to display belongings? It looked like they were in an animal shelter. I was not impressed with the hostess, either.

Eboni would be a nice addition if she a little more emotional intelligence. She's a sexy woman. But she doesn't know how to read a room. She came in too hot. I don't watch anymore. Ramona – who's future on RHONY is currently off the table – reportedly started a fight with Kenya on the very first day of filming for the inaugural All-Stars season!
"The Housewives have arrived at the house in Turks & Caicos," an insider tweeted at the time. "I'm told Ramona instantly ran to get the best bedroom and has pissed off the other women. She has already called Kenya a b---h and they haven't even been there for an hour. Buckle up!!"

Jill sttes the obvious:
During a recent podcast appearance, former “Real Housewives of New York” star Jill Zarin explained her own theory on why she thinks that this season of the show isn’t performing as well as usual.
“I think the biggest problem with the show, which nobody talks about, is it’s called ‘The Real Housewives of New York,’” Zarin said on The Lisa Wexler Show. “There isn’t one housewife. And there’s not one boyfriend. And I think the lack of male energy on the show is the problem.”
Zarin continued, “It’s a lack of male energy, to either fight over or, you know, men are from Mars, women are from Venus. And I think that in a lot of ways is the success of the ‘Real Housewives’ brand as a whole.”

If the show is canceled. guess who is to blame?
The decision about the show's future is no longer in the hands of Bravo. After all the accusations of racism the decision has gone all the way up to the top bosses at NBC,” sources add.
“The gear is that the show is just too controversial now. Which is why there is talk about shutting it down until things cool off. The last thing they want to do is having this show poison the entire franchise.”

Alex's first-ever lines on the show: "In New York City, status is everything to some people: education, appearance, events."
After all the years that have gone by, it now makes sense to me how people like her group education with superficial appearance and events. Ugh. I grew up in a working-poor family as a first-generation college student, and we all really valued education as a value in and of itself—wanting to know more about everything, intellectual curiosity, is a virtue. Higher education is a way to become a better critical thinker and make better life decisions. It's a way to end generational ignorance brought about by limited opportunities. That was the idea, and I still believe it.
But wow, it took the student loan crisis and a parade of people like George W Bush (Harvard, Yale), Meghan McCain (Columbia), Jared Kushner (Harvard), all the Trumps (Penn & Georgetown), Felicity Huffman & Aunt Becky et al. for me to really wrap my brain around the reality that to wealthy people, education is a university-seal equivalent of Louis Vuitton or Prada. It's just a status symbol and a kind of get-into-any-executive-job-free stamp to put on a resume that doesn't convey any suggestion of intellectual curiosity.

Looking at season 1, episode 1, and wow I forgot how they focused on how much everything costs. Simon and Alex clothes shopping...oy vey! Betheny in her chef stage. Luann countessing around. Ramona being 'proud to be sexy" and doing her spastic dancing. (She should be in a dance off with Elaine Benes.) Jill and Bawbby going on about a private plane to send Ali to "detox" in Martha's Vinyard.....ugh.
by Anonymous | reply 176 | August 17, 2021 10:54 AM |
R176 Have to give Beth credit for her singular vision of herself at the time. She was on Martha Stewart's Apprentice as the runner up before the Housewives. In her intro, she says "I want to be a household name like Martha Stewart." She created a food and drink brand, she became a household name, she had a short-lives talk show like MS did, some love her and some think she's unbearably obnoxious. She became her own version of Martha Stewart through dogged determination.
All the women of the Housewives were cast basically to show off their purchasing power, and Bethenny seems to have been clamoring for reality TV opportunities that would allow her to keep telling the world she was going to be a new Martha Stewart.
by Anonymous | reply 177 | August 17, 2021 11:00 AM |
Bethenny was on track for bigger things and the only housewife without a spouse. She was the funny one. But as the series went on and her personality started to grate we were asked to feel sorry for her because of her childhood. It didn't jibe with her ambitious "get to the top at all costs" nature. Her sense of humor saved her tho. Jill and Bawby were just plain sickening in the way they flaunted their lifestyle and embarrassed Jill's daughter who was a little overweight. "Go and hug Bawby for chartering that plane for you to get rid of some of that hideous weight you pig." (The plane was a Cessna, not a G5) Then when Jill's obnoxious mother comes, they had a lineup of fancy cars waiting for her to choose. It was over the top and not impressive at all. Sad. I disliked Jill from that first scene.

Bethenny on The Apprentice: "I have the intellect, the creativity and the ambition to be your apprentice, Martha. I've studied you all my life, and I have written out a business plan with 12-month, six-year and 30-year projections."
Bethenny on The Housewives: "I'm scrappy! I'm the underdog. I push fuckin finger sandwiches to Wall Street tycoons at Whole Foods, OK? They're all fuckin assholes, but am I proud? Ask me if I'm proud. I'm not proud! I'm not too good for anything, OK, I'm building a business. I'm going to be the Martha Stewart of healthy living, just you watch. I'm a businesswoman."
Bethenny on her recent HBO show, modeled after The Apprentice: "All of you are here because I hand selected you because I think you all have potential, don't get it twisted. I am a one-woman show. I run a $60-million brand that encompasses everything from shapewear to watered-down wine. I am looking for my second-in-command, my first officer, my business life partner, if you will. The poor dumbo happily participated in a reality show that made his name and face known to millions of people. I wouldn't feel too bad for him. Opportunists can find treasure in business dealings but they attract opportunists romantically. It's part of the deal.

R175, And in NYC, and particularly on the UES, the status of education begins in pre-K. I have a mom friend who is an overachiever in every way, but openly admits that she feels like a failure because she didn’t get her then-kindergartener into the private school she wanted. She had to settle for her third choice, and she still sometimes cries about it (literally), many years later.

Luann is such an interesting specimen. She's a big, broad, hulking giant with a husky voice, but her style is ultra feminine and she preaches about how to be a lady. Maybe she had to spend her young life studying how to come across as a lady because she's so mannish.
She's a very jolie-'andsome woman!

Eboni just can't help herself:
The newest Housewife also wanted to set the record straight about the show returning to light and breezy antics rather than delving into deeper matters, calling the suggestion wrong, and a form of “gaslighting.”
“We’ve addressed on various ‘Housewives’ shows and platforms, suicide. ... We’ve addressed bankruptcy, we’ve addressed alcoholism, this cast in particular. Massive lawsuits, foreclosure. All kinds of serious s--t,” said Williams. “We just happen to decide where that limitation is around upholding, I’m sorry, the white supremacy status quo. We don’t want to be challenged around that.”

Jill: I just want Ally to be happy, and being happy in our world means fitting into sample sizes and landing a nice average schmo who owns a few sweatshops in the garment district and gives you carte blanche with his money.
Luann: Victoria is very statuesque like her mother, so she shouldn't have any trouble getting knocked up by a prince if she plays her cards right.
Ramona: Avery thinks my boobs look great in this dress.
Alex: François and Johan find living in Sydney to be a fortifying educational experience. After living in New York and traveling biennially to Paris and Geneva, not to mention the au pairs who speak exclusively Parisian and Switzerlandish, we find that they fit in with every moneyed crowd worth knowing. Absolutely no one at Mar-a-Lago even questioned their heritage!

Luann comes off the best in these early shows. As a mother? Meh. Little does she know she's about to be divorced, start drinking early, and have to give up the life she's holding onto with her fingernails. Eventually her own kids will fight her over real estate and trust funds. It's interesting to watch the way things were.
by Anonymous | reply 212 | August 17, 2021 1:29 PM |
R212 Luann bred with the count to lock in her retirement account, not for the royal brats to steal her hard-earned meal ticket!

R207 Eboni is the poster child for the "nothing's ever my fault" millennial generation.
by Anonymous | reply 214 | August 17, 2021 1:47 PM |
Luann didn’t do very well out of her divorce, especially compared to Sonja who got her townhouse and $20 million that she promptly burned through. She only got half the worth of their original Hamptons place (the other half was supposed to be put in trust for the kids when it was sold, which she didn’t do and which caused them to threaten legal action a few years ago).
After buying her much smaller (though quite lovely) place in Sag Harbor, she would have had, at most, a couple of million to retire on - you go into any “I’m 57 (but still look 28) and have $480 dollars in my savings account - am I fucked?” posts about retirement saving, and $2 million is what a lot of firmly middle class DLers look to retire on. It wouldn’t be nearly enough to keep a Hamptons place, a pied a terre in Manhattan, travel and stay on the social circuit.

Luann should go after Tom Girardi. I hear he's loaded—if you can find the money.
by Anonymous | reply 216 | August 17, 2021 1:51 PM |
I wonder if the women watch these early shows and ugly-cry over what once was and will never be again. Ramona with her concrete tits will never find a man. Luann is living in the bottle again. The billionaire Bethenny stole turned out to be an addict who offed himself ("Can I still use the jet?") and she's rich but still toxic because of her abandonment issues. Jill lost Bawby and the show. They all ended up alone. And that's why we watch the show
by Anonymous | reply 217 | August 17, 2021 1:58 PM |
And Alex and Simon are still together and seem very happy. Go figure.
by Anonymous | reply 218 | August 17, 2021 2:15 PM |
[quote] Ramona with her concrete tits will never find a man.
One of those things about being human I'll never understand.
Ramona Singer is 64 years old. Her personal narrative is still "one day my prince will come"?
I get it when adolescents, teens and college students are obsessed with finding romance because they have raging hormones.
I get it when single people in their 30s and 40s are overwhelmed with landing a mate if they are fixated on reproducing because time's a-tickin'.
And I get it when predatory people want to ensnare someone richer or for some other payoff. I find it disturbing, but at least it makes some sense.
But I just do not relate at all to people who are always longing for a romantic partner just for the sake of being paired off with someone. People marry people they don't even like so often just so they're not single. They put up with all kinds of humiliations and then their lives become all about covering for hurt feelings, putting up a facade of a happy marriage to save face, etc. Why? In Ramona's case, she's the age of someone who 50 years ago probably would be a grandmother and likely a widow who would no longer be desperate to land a man if her husband died. Ramona has a grown kid and an ex. She has sufficient money, she has her own work. I think it's so weird that people spend their lives feeling incomplete because they don't have just anyone to introduce to people as a spouse.
by Anonymous | reply 219 | August 17, 2021 2:16 PM |
The tone of the show changed when Bethenny returned in season 7. By that time, LuAnn and Ramona were divorced and their kids were adults. Bethenny and Sonja couldn’t have their daughters on camera because their ex-husbands refused to grant them permission to do so, and Carole was a widow with children. Dorinda was introduced , and her daughter was an obnoxious adult.
That left Heather and Kristen as the only housewives with kids. Bethenny got rid of them quickly, and the show turned into Horny Drunk Cougars on the Prowl for the next 4 seasons .
it worked as long as we had Bethenny as alpha female, directing everything, Carole as a voice of reason and Dorinda as a lovable eccentric with a sad vulnerability that made you root for her. The other important character was New York City-more than any other show, the city is additional character-the vast majority of scenes were set outside or in bars and restaurants, not in their homes.
The loss of Bethenny, Dorinda and Manhattan were huge blows to the show, but replacing them with hectoring Eboni and aggravating Leah were death blows. The only way this show can work again is a massive retooling.
But this did happen before, the show was overhauled after season 5, and off the air for over a year after that season because the ratings were poor, so maybe it will come back after they clean house.

by Anonymous | reply 228 | August 17, 2021 2:43 PM |
R219, I think with Ramona the man-chasing is one more facet of her obsession with status. As much as she crows about how proud she is to be a successful self-made business woman - as a conservative baby boomer, Ramona still feels like she needs an age-appropriate guy on the UES/Hamptons/South Florida migratory path who has a little bit more money than her to wave in other women’s faces like she did Mario, though of course, in the divorce it came out that she was underwriting him. Basically, she wants a trophy husband.
I think out of the original girls, Luann is the only one who legitimately loves the D for its own sake.
by Anonymous | reply 229 | August 17, 2021 2:43 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 238 | August 17, 2021 4:16 PM |
I'd like to see Bravo fire the entire current cast and start all over with a diverse group that features all the fun stuff that New York has to offer.
Don't have forced discussions on race, but natural discussions as they come up in real life. Beverly Hills is handling current issues in a much more natural way. I've grown to really like Garcelle and Crystal, they are clearly grounded women who mostly add genuine insight to discussions.
Ramona runs away from rational discourse, Leah is an attention whore, and Eboni goes on too long with her lectures. I fast forward through much of the horrifying stupidity these days, it's just a train wreck.
None of the current women seem stable enough to handle mature romantic relationships, either. Leah, Ramona, and Sonja in particular act like immature adolescents.
by Anonymous | reply 239 | August 17, 2021 4:43 PM |
It's not just that Eboni's lectures are too long, they're totally forced and inorganic. The conversations with Garcelle and Crystal were good because they came up naturally. Eboni, on the other hand, turns everything into a conversation about race and then hectors the other women about displaying white fragility when they aren't interested in being lectured.
by Anonymous | reply 240 | August 17, 2021 4:59 PM |
R240 The Beverly Hills ones are organic:
"Are you telling me you don't see color? Tell me you're that girl!"
"I AM NOT DOING THIS! DON'T YOU GO THERE WITH ME!"
"You VIOLATED my private nakedness AND you are color blind!"
"I am on the verge of losing my mind, but rubbing this little paint roller all over my face is keeping me calm."
"You're just jealous!"
"Of what...YOUR UGLY PANTS??!"
"My daughter is dating Scott Disick!"
by Anonymous | reply 241 | August 17, 2021 5:17 PM |
Garcelle and Crystal speak from the heart and it makes us want to listen. Eboni sounds fake and rehearsed and she rambles. That’s a turn off.
by Anonymous | reply 242 | August 17, 2021 5:19 PM |
Question. Why do we have to have talk about race at all on these shows? There are plenty of other outlets for this. I watch these shows for fashion and real estate porn and to ruthlessly judge them on their egocentric personalities. If Bravo wants to initiate conversations about racial issues like white superiority/fragility, create a show for it.
by Anonymous | reply 243 | August 17, 2021 5:29 PM |
Eboni likely has a point (or more) regarding the white privileged of the other cast members. That said, if Eboni in real life is as tedious and preachy as she is on the show, it’s a wonder she has any friends at all.

R244 Eboni is not one to preach about white privilege after fucking a rich white dude to get a Tribeca apartment.
by Anonymous | reply 245 | August 17, 2021 5:42 PM |
Garcelle was a great hire for Beverly Hills - she’s the warm and relatable everywoman that Beverly Hills has never been able to find. Kyle has been unconvincingly trying to squeeze herself into that box for ten years now.
I think going chips in on Leah was the RHONY producers’ biggest mistake - as much as the fans rail against Ramona’s “ok boomer” philistinism when she’s not being saved by a comedy edit, I think they key demo is way more “triggered” by the mirror that Leah’s millennial asshole persona holds up, and she seems to be universally loathed.
The producers also wildly miscalculated with hiring Eboni for the seemingly expressed purpose of trying to expose Ramona as a racist fruitcake. And for all her talk about doing it for “the culture”, I don’t think Eboni is actually going over well with Black viewers - who seem way less inclined to let a tenure at Fox News slide and who have also clocked the way she turned her nose up at Bershawn.
by Anonymous | reply 246 | August 17, 2021 5:58 PM |
Agree, for example when the subject of race came up on Beverly Hills and the ladies were all talking about how non-racist they and their families are and all Garcelle had to say ways how difficult it is to have to talk to her young black sons how careful they must be while driving or stopped by police. It was so real and so true. Mothers of black sons have enormous fear and heartache about how their sons will fare in the world. To the BH ladies credit, they immediately understood what she was saying. Ramona probably would have screamed and ran out of the room with her hands over her ears.
I have a friend, black mother of two college students, who's son is an amazingly talented, smart young man, full scholarship and great potential. Because of Trayvon Martin in particular I began to understand the fear she experiences, a young black man innocently walking home from a friend's house, randomly attacked and killed by a horrid racist.
by Anonymous | reply 247 | August 17, 2021 6:37 PM |
R247, actually what Ramona would do is try to one-up Garcelle, maybe by narrating the tale of Avery’s forceps birth again (“I thought she was born DEAD!”)
She would then move into slapping her cheeks and shaking her head desolately while refusing to make eye contact (this is mostly a stalling stage where she does the slow work of figuring out how to link someone else’s experience that she has just heard about and doesn’t care about to something that happened to her once in order to evoke an emotional response.)
She would then begin stroking her up and down her arm to signify goosebumps (“What you said. Chills! chills up and down my arm. I can’t!)
Then she would start performatively crying before launching herself onto Garcelle and would then finish it off by stage whispering while she hugs her like a straight jacket that they now have a special bond because they are both excellent at being moms and that they don’t need to say anymore about whatever it was they were talking about.

Per Eboni at R261's link:
[quote] It's been fun. I mean, listen, it was COVID. You know, is it more fun when we get to take really big international trips, and kind of lean into the glitz and glamour of 'Housewives'-ism? Yeah. And hopefully, that lies in front of us.
Yeah, no shit it's more fun when the show leans into the glitz and glamour. That's what everyone has been complaining about all season—that they want to escape by watching superficial glitz and silly hijinks. But whenever anyone points that out to Eboni, she insists the show has always focused on issues and that it's her job to educate. She is such a hypocritical asshole. Or maybe that's just my white fragility. Or gaslighting.

No, when and if the series is renewed for next season, Eboni and Leah will be the returning members. Ramona will be gone, as will LuAnn. Another black woman will be added, as well as a young white woman. But, in order the assuage the viewers who hate Eboni and Leah, Bravo will welcome the return of Dorinda, hoping that she'll make it nice.
by Anonymous | reply 267 | August 18, 2021 11:52 AM |
Eboni was told to go after Ramona. #womensupportimgwomen. Lu refusing to engage yet remaining calm and charming is the only part of the show I’m enjoying. Ramona should follow her lead. Sonja is a lost cause. Last nights episode was the worst.
by Anonymous | reply 268 | August 18, 2021 2:17 PM |
If I was advising Eboni, I’d tell her that her end game should be gunning for Andy Cohen’s job. She’s not a great housewife - she’s just too cold-blooded, but she stick handles them really well, better then he does. And if her biggest crime is being a smug phoney who loves the sound of her own voice and is clearly parched to be on TV, well, that’s basically the Andy Cohen essential oil.
If NBC is afraid that Bravo is turning into a race relations minefield, make a thirtysomething Black woman the face of it. That’s the gambit, I’d tell Eboni to play. Ask to host the Potomac reunion. Demand to be given Porsha’s spot on chat room. Then come for the whole thing.

by Anonymous | reply 290 | August 22, 2021 12:25 AM |
Ramona wasn’t being racist she was just her obnoxious self. Ramona hates poor people she doesn’t care about their race.
by Anonymous | reply 291 | August 22, 2021 4:35 AM |
Ramona objects to Eboni's making everything about black people as if no one else exists. Whenever Eboni goes into her "black" lectures, Ramona is the first to challenge her and try to disrupt the event.
Another thing: If the cast is so concerned about Sonja's drinking, how come, whenever she comes to visit or they go out, the first thing put in her hand is a drink?

I think that Eboni would chill out and be more natural if given a second season. Get rid of Leah and her Oakie looking family (no offense to Oakies).
by Anonymous | reply 293 | August 24, 2021 2:12 AM |
R293 Nope. Eboni would become even more sanctimonious if given a second season. Get rid of both she and Leah. They're toxic and turning the show relentlessly dark.

I can see redeeming characteristics in Eboni, Leah on the other hand is a waste of oxygen. But if the only way to get rid of Leah is to sack Eboni too, well, see ya.

This is the source for above rumors.
In summary, they plan to keep only Ramona and Eboni and bring Beth and Tins back and find some new ones.
by Anonymous | reply 298 | August 24, 2021 2:53 AM |
Eboni would be ok if Bethenny was there to tell her to STFU on occasion.
Sonja needs a year off to go to rehab, like Dorinda. I love LuAnn, her delusions make her an iconic housewife.
I don’t need to see Leah again, or Tinsley for that matter -if they want to bring Tinsley back to Bravo, put her on a show set in Palm Beach, since that’s where she lives when not in Chicago.
Dorinda should come back but they need a couple of young women on the show. Maybe that cunt Avery Singer would be interested.
by Anonymous | reply 299 | August 24, 2021 3:21 AM |
Ramona and Luann have been the only two mainstay RHONY cast members who have big enough shoulders to carry a villain arc for prolonged periods of time, especially back during the return of Bethenny era (Sonja and Dorinda short-circuit in the face of her disapproval) - and they can carry those arcs without being wholly despicable by the time reunions wrap up (Leah is so ghastly that people seem to recoil at even interstitial footage of her). Now that Luann is sober (and I suspect more importantly no longer snorting cocaine while filming), she’s not particularly volatile and so Ramona is practically indispensable. The producers really fucked up by making “Ramona is a racist” the main plot of the season, because for a percentage of the viewers Ramona won’t be able to “wear” that for a season and then be redeemed by a “wacky Ramona footage” montage and acting suitably contrite in the final minutes of her reunion.

I watched a snippet last night. Sonja called Ramona to tell about her COVID-positive test result and being sick.
Like a typical egomaniacal narcissist, Ramona monopolized the conversation to talk about a headache SHE had. You could tell from the look on Sonja's face that she was like "WTF, bitch! I'm telling you about me! I don't care about your headache!" Of course, Ramona sent Sonja flowers and all was forgiven.

Leah’s parents really do look like Okies. Leah’s mom is from Central Casting for playing the witch in Hansel & Gretel (I do like her “I just can’t” attitude with Leah though - it’s hilarious).
Leah’s brother looks like he would be a fun fuck.

Leah would have been about ten years old when Tunnel and the Limelight were having their heyday - even if she was going underage, it would have been at the very very end. I had her pegged as a mid-aughts Lower East Side Scene/MisShapes/Smiths Sundays at Sway-type.

The Countess, Ramona, and Sonja offered to come back next year as a " Friend of the Show." Looks like the show will revolve around Leah and Eboni.
by Anonymous | reply 318 | August 27, 2021 5:31 AM |
Luann doesn’t look too fazed despite recently finding out the network has offered her a role as “friend” for season 14. We’re told her team has informed the network they will not be accepting the offer.
The source believes Sonja will be the only one to accept. We’re told the decision is primarily related to the budget. The insider spilled, “Ramona is the highest paid with Lu right behind her.”
Aside from the budget, the producers are working overtime to come up with a game plan to fix the dying show. The fans have been complaining all season about how boring the storylines were.
The ratings for RHONY have been in free fall with more and more fans deciding to skip it. The show has yet to film a reunion for season 13 despite the finale set to air this week.
For her part, Ramona is currently staying in Aspen and told her fans she will be there for quite a bit of time. It doesn't appear she has any plans to head back to New York to film the reunion anytime soon.
Earlier this week, Bethenny Frankel shut down reports she was in talks with Bravo for a return. She claims to have not talked to producers since her exit.

Leah and Eboni both have ambitions to be the main focus of the show in order to work their way up the chain and get their own shows on a more prestigious network. Both will stab anyone who challenges them, so maybe that is why Bravo thinks it can build the new show. The old party, get drunk, and explode formula is stale. Look for more involvement from Leah's family and Eboni's dad and new family on the new show. Also look for more black women, which seems to be the key to Housewives success.

Its shit stirring in internet form..
I suspect that the Tinsley part is true. Bethenny denied the story- but where there is smoke there is fire, where she is concerned. The details about her stipulations sounded JUST like her.
I think the only definite returns for next year are Tinsley and Eboni. Dorinda will be back in 2 years, probably not next year. From my perspective, Leah is despised by viewers. Maybe she tests well at Bravo.
Ramona may have dug her own grave after seeing that Shabbat episode. I don't see how she can return. Poor Sonja looked crazier than Dorinda this season. I think she fucked herself too.

It looks like Eboni has gotten over herself as far as teaching Race101. She's making an effort to fit in with this group of elderfraus. The problem is that she doesn't have the swag and real estate porn of the other girls and that's part of the show's draw. Neither does Leah, who looks like she lives in a studio apartment.
by Anonymous | reply 345 | August 31, 2021 1:43 PM |
R345 Eboni will never be able to stop teaching Race 101. If she comes back next season, they should probably just rename the show to "Eboni K. Williams and Why You're all Racists."
by Anonymous | reply 346 | August 31, 2021 1:46 PM |
R345. Sonja has no real estate profile to speak of. She has a small townhouse next to a busy garage that no one wants to buy or rent. She can't afford it and has to rent it out while living in a smaller apartment.
Lu is short of funds hence the need to rent her home. She can't afford it without the rental income.
by Anonymous | reply 347 | August 31, 2021 3:19 PM |
I think Sonja is the only one who owns a place in the city, and that she is basically lumbered with that moneypit townhouse as her sole heavily-mortgaged asset. I think that Columbus Circle apartment that Sonja was living in last year when she had a renter was her daughter’s pied a terre. When Sonja have that depressed monologue about just wanting to disappear to spare her daughter at Ramona’s Burning Man party, the subtext was that without her housewives salary to spin plates, Sonja will be financial dependent on her daughter in her old age.
I don’t think Luann has ever owned anything in the city. The townhouse she lived in when the show started was rented and her divorce settlement was half the value of her original Hamptons house. Her principal residence is her Sag Habor house and I think she’s rented in a series of increasingly smaller apartments as the show has progressed. I’m not sure if Luann is in as dire straits as Sonja, but I doubt without a housewives cheque that Luann can afford to keep a place in Manhattan.

R348 Doesn't Ramona own her Manhattan apartment?
by Anonymous | reply 349 | August 31, 2021 3:54 PM |
Ramona is worth $18M and earns $500,000 per season. Luann is worth more than Ramona at $25M but makes considerably less than Ramona on the show Sonja is worth $8M which is probably the assessed value of the townhouse and makes $465,000 per season Leah is worth $3.5M and was paid only $3,000 per episode, but now makes a bit more Eboni is worth $3M (no figures for RHONY salary
by Anonymous | reply 350 | August 31, 2021 6:50 PM |
Luann is not worth $25 million, lol. She can't even afford her home upkeep and has to rent it and crash on friends' sofas or in that little apartment.
She is being booted off the series and sill be in deep financial doo doo once that happens. Probably will have to sell the home.

by Anonymous | reply 390 | September 18, 2021 12:02 PM |
Eboni and her haranguing was a huge factor here, of course.
But I would also argue the loss of New York City as a setting, the loss of Dorinda and her Berkshires home, the lack of a ringleader like Bethenny, the lack of a prior connection between Eboni and the other wives, and having only 5 cast members, contributed just as much , if not more, to how bad this season was.
This show was always primarily shot in bars and restaurants in Manhattan, with passersby watching their antics in horror or joining in (the Berkshire episodes being an exception).
New York relies on this set up more than any of the other Housewife shows , and not being able to do this hurt the show badly . They should have waited to start shooting the season until indoor dining came back.
Dorinda’s loss was palpable -she was able to keep Ramona and Sonja in line, she was able to break through Luann’s narcissism, and she served as a bridge between the old bags and Leah. I think Dorinda and Eboni would have become friends and she could have helped integrate her into the cast, as she felt out of place, for the most part.
Additionally, spending 4 episodes in the Berkshires house with its theme rooms and Dorinda‘s party games would have been a lot more entertaining than being stuck at Ramona’s Ashley Home/Macy’s/Restoration Hardware bore of a Hamptons house.
Ramona, LuAnn and Sonja are supporting cast, and they need a ringleader to keep them inline-someone they respect who will check them. Bethenny did this for years. Her presence was missed last year, but the show had Dorinda and was able to shoot indoors. They need to find someone who can direct those three old bags and keep them in line.
It was very clear that Eboni did not know these women previously and had no connection to them. Surely, one of them had a couple of friends that would love to be on the show. Why didn’t they give Bershan more airtime, she fit in better than Eboni.
I think the show will return, eventually, but most if not all of the current cast will be dropped.

by Anonymous | reply 392 | September 18, 2021 2:45 PM |
Bethenny is a very good real housewife, but her curse is that it’s the only media format where her chaos-addict banshee energy works. I think Bravo should do what it takes to get her back on the show, which I will assume will be more money than she was making before and more production control - I don’t think they should be worried about giving her an official producer role because if her career as a TV personality has proven anything it is that the more control Bethenny has over a project the crazier she comes across.
