Do you consider poppers a drug?

I met up with a guy, and after we got naked, he pulled out a bottle of poppers and started huffing away, he then offered me the bottle, but I said, I don't use drugs, he immediately gets pissed and says, it's not drugs it's just poppers, I don't do drugs. So, I just wondered if all popper users felt the same way he did.

by Anonymousreply 61August 6, 2021 9:37 PM

It makes your heart race. Yes it's a drug. If he thinks you need poppers, he's doing IT wrong.

by Anonymousreply 1July 31, 2021 3:46 AM

OP, it wasn't that you called it a drug, it's that you refused to partake. I've had this happen to me countless times -- when someone offers poppers, and you politely decline -- they always get mad. I never understood why.

by Anonymousreply 2July 31, 2021 4:08 AM

Yes

by Anonymousreply 3July 31, 2021 4:10 AM

Most definitely. I've never used them, don't want to, and don't need to. They do damage to your brain too. Plus, my hole works perfectly fine without drugs.

by Anonymousreply 4July 31, 2021 4:23 AM

One time a guy said the exact same thing to me OP! I was about to penetrate him and he reached for his amyl, (poppers), and asked me if I wanted to sniff some. I said, "no thank you, I don't do drugs", but I'm not going to stop you from using it", and told me they aren't drugs and blew the amyl towards my face.

by Anonymousreply 5July 31, 2021 4:26 AM

he* - (spelling correction)^

by Anonymousreply 6July 31, 2021 4:28 AM

It's a chemical stimulant, so, yes, a drug.

However, I have never had someone get all huffy when I turned down their offer to partake.

by Anonymousreply 7July 31, 2021 4:39 AM

Yes OP, amyl nitrate is a drug, disguised as leather cleaner, room deodorizer etc. etc. I think it's used for Angina too....

by Anonymousreply 8July 31, 2021 4:39 AM

I've had a couple of guys pull it out when we were about to have sex. It was kind of off putting that they did that, for some reason. I don't know why, there isn't really a reason. I guess it felt a bit like because of it, our intimacy wasn't as strong? Like we shouldn't need that to fuck, I suppose is what I was thinking.

A couple of years ago a friend had left some at our house, so a small group of us took it out and tried it at a bar. So I can say I've done it at least. I liked the sensation, turns out, though never really wanted to do it again. The most interesting effect it had on me was that we went to the bathroom in twos to do it, and I was in the stall with a mate I've never really had a thing for, and all of a sudden I really wanted to make out with him.

by Anonymousreply 9July 31, 2021 6:36 AM

I've gone through poppers phases. I don't consider them a drug, but I suppose they officially are. I understand why they are off-putting if you're not into them, but I've also been annoyed when someone didn't want to join in.

The same is true for other intoxicants. People who participate want everyone to join the party. With poppers, though, it's a little like someone saying "hey do you want to melt into one another for 2 minutes ?" and the person replying "nah, I'm good."

Now that poppers are crappy (no longer amyl) and often just give a headache and kill a boner, there are more reasons to say no than yes to them.

by Anonymousreply 10July 31, 2021 6:50 AM

OP wanted jalapeño poppers.

by Anonymousreply 11July 31, 2021 6:58 AM

Mmm, jalapeño poppers...

by Anonymousreply 12July 31, 2021 7:02 AM

I always find it a huge turn-off, and it gives me a headache.

by Anonymousreply 13July 31, 2021 7:04 AM

There was an attempt a few years ago in the UK Parliament to reclassify them as a drug. It didn’t work. A recently out gay MP got up and defended his right to continue using poppers. I think people were so embarrassed at the implications that it was quietly dropped.

by Anonymousreply 14July 31, 2021 7:45 AM

R13 try losing some weight dear

by Anonymousreply 15July 31, 2021 9:28 AM

LOL

I'm not one of those pathetic weed-smoking pot-heads!

*HUFFFFFFFFFFFFF*

Do I look like a drug addict to you?

*HUFFFFFFFFFFFFF*

Stickyourdickinmyassnow!!!

by Anonymousreply 16July 31, 2021 9:42 AM

A headache AND it smells like smelly sweatsocks........no thank you .

by Anonymousreply 17July 31, 2021 9:47 AM

I remember when I was 20 on Grindr, and a guy messaged me about "cones". I was like, "ice cream cones"?. Obviously they weren't ice cream cones being referred to.

by Anonymousreply 18July 31, 2021 9:52 AM

Of course it's a drug.

Somehow, though, I've never had a problem with a trick getting enraged when I politely decline them.

by Anonymousreply 19July 31, 2021 9:57 AM

Popper are a drug just like Marijuana is a drug and so in Alcohol.

I have had people tell me they don't use drugs and use all there of them. I call people out on it when they say such stupid things. Especially alcohol, the answer I usually get is well "technically I guess but" and same excuse with weed. Then they proceed to tell me how it's not dangerous. Well OK, but that was not the question. But these people will still say they don't use drugs. What they could say is I don't use HARD drugs. People who say they dont use drugs and use anyone of those need a reality check.

Look I have tried all three and use two of those regularly but I am not afraid to say I use recreational drugs if someone asks. Its a fact and pretending I am some pious queen is not my thing.

by Anonymousreply 20July 31, 2021 10:09 AM

But why do you use drugs R20?

by Anonymousreply 21July 31, 2021 10:43 AM

OP, you sound like a bore.

by Anonymousreply 22July 31, 2021 10:45 AM

I enjoy them R21 Weed make everything seem more interesting and alcohol relaxes me enough to have good conversations at a party without putting up a big wall. I don't mix them. People who do that are the real hard core druggies. They just want whatever they can get their hands on like a binge eater.

by Anonymousreply 23July 31, 2021 10:50 AM

No. Poppers are not drugs.

by Anonymousreply 24July 31, 2021 11:04 AM

R24 clearly has brain damage from the drug use, to the point of not having any cognition left to know that poppers ARE a drug.

by Anonymousreply 25July 31, 2021 11:10 AM

R22 you are just a drug addict, tranny lover and tranny defender bi cunt.

by Anonymousreply 26July 31, 2021 11:15 AM

Yes.

by Anonymousreply 27July 31, 2021 11:31 AM

Not judging if someone wants to use them, but yes.

by Anonymousreply 28July 31, 2021 11:31 AM

Yes, of course they are. And they’re trashy.

by Anonymousreply 29July 31, 2021 11:36 AM

Of course but so are recreational use of ED meds. Pick your poison (or not), just as long it's not meth

by Anonymousreply 30July 31, 2021 11:40 AM

R28 would you be with a boyfriend that used poppers?

by Anonymousreply 31July 31, 2021 11:53 AM

…he then sealed the deal later that afternoon with a refusal of a coffee date, stating caffeine is a drug. Some people you just can’t win…

by Anonymousreply 32July 31, 2021 12:04 PM

R26, drug addict? Lol.

You’re an idiot.

by Anonymousreply 33July 31, 2021 12:07 PM

R26 I play my music in the sun ☀️

by Anonymousreply 34July 31, 2021 12:10 PM

Aren't they totally unregulated and can be adulterated with God knows what?

by Anonymousreply 35July 31, 2021 2:01 PM

R34 you engage in everything under the sun. It's an anything goes fuckery circus with you, especially when you are on your drugs.

R33 you are still a tranny lover and tranny defender though bi cunt. You don't belong here. I've seen your tranny comments about how much you love the freaks. Is your signature Cinesnatch because that's what you named your open wound?

by Anonymousreply 36July 31, 2021 2:08 PM

Wow, this thread took a turn down a dark alley.

by Anonymousreply 37July 31, 2021 3:35 PM

[quote]…he then sealed the deal later that afternoon with a refusal of a coffee date,

If coffee is a drug then poppers are more akin to crack cocaine in comparison

by Anonymousreply 38July 31, 2021 5:50 PM

Better to me than you R35.

by Anonymousreply 39July 31, 2021 6:28 PM

I mean R36.

by Anonymousreply 40July 31, 2021 6:28 PM

The 'Legal' Poppers in the USA is Cyclohexyl nitrite not Amyl Nitrate, which is RX/Prescription and is occasionally used in Angina and to treat Cyanide exposure.

Cyclohexyl nitrite doesn't have any licensed medical uses and is essentially a solvent based cleaner.

by Anonymousreply 41July 31, 2021 6:36 PM

Cinesnatch is a confirmed fucked up freakshow tranny!

by Anonymousreply 42July 31, 2021 6:59 PM

Nothing ruins an amateur video quicker than one or both of the guys sucking on a little brown bottle the whole time like they're in a vacuum, and the bottle holds pure oxygen.

by Anonymousreply 43July 31, 2021 10:50 PM

Whenever I tried using them my dick went limp and I would get a slight headache... I'm a top so my dick needs to be hard for shit to go down.

by Anonymousreply 44July 31, 2021 10:55 PM

Undecided here, but it does seem to add a pleasant extra to a long solo session.

Or, maybe it’s a placebo effect.

by Anonymousreply 45July 31, 2021 11:13 PM

Are you one of those popper gooners R45?

by Anonymousreply 46July 31, 2021 11:59 PM

[quote]Yes, of course they are. And they’re trashy.

THIS +1.

Poppers are for trashy gays. One man's trash is another mans pass around bottom.

by Anonymousreply 47August 5, 2021 6:23 PM

There is an inferred criticism when you choose not to partake in a substance that can alter your consciousness. It’s administered in hospitals by health professionals to help patients in distress. Yes, it’s a drug.

by Anonymousreply 48August 5, 2021 6:25 PM

Gays and drugs. *sigh*

by Anonymousreply 49August 5, 2021 6:28 PM

R49 bi men are bigger drug addicts.

by Anonymousreply 50August 6, 2021 4:56 PM

[quote] I met up with a guy, and after we got naked, he pulled out a bottle of poppers and started huffing away, he then offered me the bottle, but I said, I don't use drugs,

Assuming this is real--which I sincerely doubt--why would you put it so prissily? What's wrong with just a simple "No thank you"?

NYou might as well have played him this commercial.

by Anonymousreply 51August 6, 2021 5:10 PM

I wasn't prissy R51 I was pissed off.

by Anonymousreply 52August 6, 2021 5:14 PM

As you rightfully should be R52. R51 is just another drug addict.

by Anonymousreply 53August 6, 2021 5:17 PM

I don't do poppers, but am surprised when guys ask me if I have any. If you like doing them you ought to bring your own. Used them in the past and after some initial high I like many others said got a headache. Some guys inhale them continually and inhale deeply and for a long stretch! No one ever got upset with me for declining when offered.

by Anonymousreply 54August 6, 2021 5:30 PM

It just gives you a head rush for a short period of time - I don't understand the appeal. Too easy to get a headache.

It's not a real drug in my opinion, if its shelf life is 15 seconds.

by Anonymousreply 55August 6, 2021 5:32 PM

I’m new and naive. Can you substitute pop rocks candy for these things you call poppers? What about Rice Krispies?

by Anonymousreply 56August 6, 2021 5:40 PM

its a drug the same way caffeine is a drug. Next time someone offers you a cup of coffee say "no thank you i dont use drugs"

by Anonymousreply 57August 6, 2021 5:44 PM

[QUOTE]"...no thank you, I don't do drugs"

You see, R5. You could have stopped with "No, thank you." That's all that needed to be said.

It's the sniffing superiority of your addition of "I don't do drugs" that causes the problem. He's giving you his asshole. You didn't have to put him down. "No, thank you." That's all that was required.

by Anonymousreply 58August 6, 2021 5:47 PM

[quote] I wasn't prissy [R51] I was pissed off.

Why, for God's sake? He had brought his own, and was generously willing to share with you. Poppers are legal in the US: it's not like he was inviting you to break the law. Do you get pissed off similarly if someone offers to bring you coffee? Or buy you a drink?

You ARE a priss, Mary--not because you refused the poppers, but because you got all pissy about them when they simply were generously and legally being offered to you.

by Anonymousreply 59August 6, 2021 6:53 PM

Fuck off R59, Yeah, I'm gonna be pissed if a guy shoves a bottle in my face and then acts like a butt hurt prick when I tell him I don't do drugs, and poppers are A Drug by the way unless the coffee you drink is so strong it's used as a heart medication.

by Anonymousreply 60August 6, 2021 8:59 PM

yeah it's a drug

it's also HAF when you're learning to bottom
