So old, so old.

Ugh. Every trashy idiot I've ever known liked this group.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | July 28, 2021 8:44 PM |
Think of all the leggy models he had yet to point to in videos!
by Anonymous | reply 4 | July 28, 2021 8:47 PM |
Throw him in the recycler.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | July 28, 2021 9:07 PM |
He was so young and full of life....he was just coming into his own.

I love ZZ Top

Olivia DH., is that you at R7?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | July 28, 2021 9:25 PM |
Traaaaaasssh.

He's Hank Hill's cousin. My condolences to Hank and Bobby. Peggy can suck it. It should have been you, bitch.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | July 28, 2021 10:07 PM |
Did he get the Covid shot?
by Anonymous | reply 13 | July 30, 2021 11:33 AM |
I always got a gay vibe from this band and this bandmember in particular. Just sayin.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | July 30, 2021 11:41 AM |
Why aren't these people retired, good god.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | July 30, 2021 12:54 PM |
She was a good girl. May she RIP.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | July 30, 2021 1:03 PM |
Oh that's sad to hear. They had some fun stuff.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | July 30, 2021 3:12 PM |
Nobody said the rest of the band was quitting, R17. Greedy fuckers.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | July 30, 2021 7:03 PM |
I am curious what he died of. He had left the tour because of a "hip issue" then died in his sleep.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | July 30, 2021 7:06 PM |
What's disturbing is that this guy was in his early 30's when ZZ Top was big in the early 80's.
Bonus points as you go through their videos - the woman in red in several of the videos was Jeana from RHOC.

[quote] I am curious what he died of.
His heart stopped.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | July 30, 2021 7:09 PM |
Aw, that’s a shame. He was so good in Rain Man.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | July 30, 2021 7:11 PM |
Grizzled old dude was still just lookin' for some Tush.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | July 30, 2021 8:28 PM |
They have been going since 1969 - 52 years! Inevitable that a band thats been going that long will eventually have a member pass away
Personally I prefer their earlier stuff, the first 6 albums, although some of the more recent ones were a return to blues and were good too

Vaccinated?
by Anonymous | reply 25 | July 30, 2021 11:06 PM |
I wonder what percentage of these super-annuated bands does it because they are broke and how many just have no other life.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | July 30, 2021 11:43 PM |
I was the hot young buck flash dancin’ to Rough Boy.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | July 30, 2021 11:49 PM |
ZZ Top's first show without Dusty. Sorry, but it's too soon, guys.

R26 Judging from the ZZ Top doc that’s on Netflix, it seems like all of these dudes have their own mansions, estates, car collections, etc. They probably keep touring because it’s all they’ve ever known as adults; the adulation, the attention from groupies, all that stuff has probably long been crucial to their self-esteem. To give that up would mean facing up to the brutal truth of getting old and becoming irrelevant.

Aren't some of the members repubs or Trumpsters?
I remember reading something in the past decade that made me stop liking them.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | August 2, 2021 7:24 AM |
R18 They've beet together in the original lineup since the 60s, so more than 50 years. Longer than any other band.

Excuse me?
by Anonymous | reply 32 | August 2, 2021 8:16 AM |
R32 The Rolling Stones aren't in their original lineup, my dude. They only were for a few short years.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | August 2, 2021 7:48 PM |
I don’t think that’s what he meant, r33.
I think they literally didn’t hear the guy. They are old after all.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | August 2, 2021 8:43 PM |
I guess it's not actually work (Turn the Page type road song bullshit notwithstanding), so why not keep going? Personally I'd rather buy an island and brood somewhere, but I guess those personality types don't start wildly successful rock bands.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | August 2, 2021 8:57 PM |
I'm certainly getting less than warm vibes from Billy Gibbons about Dusty's sudden death. In essence, the bassist had been replaced by the band's guitar tech BEFORE Dusty's passing.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | August 3, 2021 1:24 PM |
^^ Actually, they'll be playing Sturgis on the same stage as Kid Rock. Can't spread too much Covid or MAGA goodness, huh?!?

...and the obligitory eulogy from the Duck Dynasty bozo.
It dodged cancellation in 2013 when Robertson made anti-gay remarks and inflammatory statements about African-Americans in a GQ magazine interview. He was suspended from the show.
