I met him in person he is not “super short” I don’t remember that. If he’s short in a freakish way that didn’t stand out to me , so to speak. He was really sweet and definitely cute. Nobody has anything bad to say about Marc as a person. He’s very loyal and unpretentious, which can be a rarity in the fashion industry (he certainly seems to live by the adage ‘Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.’)

However, substance abuse and insecurity have driven most of his life decisions over the past 40 years. He’s the king of self sabotage. Is MJ and his high end fashion brand all it once was? That's hard to say and even MJ himself will admit as such. He's a nearly 60 year old man long at the game in an industry that constantly craves newness.

He will be rich for the rest of his life if only for his "Daisy" perfume and its zillion and one flankers. They are still THE hip fragrances for most women under 25 in the Western world.

The most revealing parts are about Jacobs' childhood; I knew his mother was a nut job and he went to live with his grandfather on Central Park West, but I didn't realize his younger siblings were taken into foster care and that Marc has had zero to do with them since. I can't imagine the trauma he experienced but I'm shocked that his siblings were shipped off to god knows where and he doesn't seem to care what happened to them. That's cold.
