Marc Jacobs, 58, unveils new face after plastic surgery and hyperbaric cold chamber treatment

[post redacted because linking to dailymail.co.uk clearly indicates that the poster is either a troll or an idiot (probably both, honestly.) Our advice is that you just ignore this poster but whatever you do, don't click on any link to this putrid rag.]

oops that should read "hyperbaric oxygen chamber"

by Anonymousreply 1July 23, 2021 10:19 PM

Tragic. Like Madonna. Grow old naturally, you sick fucks.

by Anonymousreply 2July 23, 2021 10:19 PM

I will at least give credit for openly embracing that he is getting work done. So many celebs try to pretend like we won't notice.

by Anonymousreply 3July 23, 2021 10:20 PM

He is so gross

by Anonymousreply 4July 23, 2021 10:22 PM

his younger days

by Anonymousreply 5July 23, 2021 10:22 PM

Would someone post a pic of the new face? I'm not turning off my ad blocker for The Daily Fail. Thank you!

by Anonymousreply 6July 23, 2021 10:23 PM

It's funny how dyed hair makes a man look older. Even the wealthy can't seem to get it right.

He now looks like sleazy Las Vegas magician.

by Anonymousreply 7July 23, 2021 10:23 PM

If I had that kind of money I would lift everything. At least he’s honest unlike a bunch of other celebrities that claim they never had surgery.

by Anonymousreply 8July 23, 2021 10:24 PM

Not really an improvement, is it?

by Anonymousreply 9July 23, 2021 10:24 PM

^ a sleazy

by Anonymousreply 10July 23, 2021 10:24 PM

Creepy

by Anonymousreply 11July 23, 2021 10:25 PM

He looks like that Siegfried & Roy dude - I don't remember which was which

by Anonymousreply 12July 23, 2021 10:25 PM

Awww, he'd probably look fine if he embraced his natural look.

by Anonymousreply 13July 23, 2021 10:26 PM

I'm diggin it!

by Anonymousreply 14July 23, 2021 10:29 PM

Maybe he thinks it will get him Harry Louis back. Jacobs always was a tacky exhibitionistic moron.

by Anonymousreply 15July 23, 2021 10:30 PM

What does his husband think?

by Anonymousreply 16July 23, 2021 10:31 PM

He looks like Al Pacino.

by Anonymousreply 17July 23, 2021 11:40 PM

Is he still married to the candle maker?

by Anonymousreply 18July 23, 2021 11:42 PM

Shouldn't he have waited for his next drug fueled sex party to make a grand reveal

by Anonymousreply 19July 24, 2021 12:02 AM

Freak.

by Anonymousreply 20July 24, 2021 12:04 AM

R5 he was never that hot looking to begin with. Should have saved his money and just bought more boy toys instead.

by Anonymousreply 21July 24, 2021 12:20 AM

He should demand for a refund.

by Anonymousreply 22July 24, 2021 12:22 AM

Demand a refund.

by Anonymousreply 23July 24, 2021 12:29 AM

He lived right next door to a friend of mine on the UWS about 30 years ago. He was very sweet and very cute. That’s too bad he won’t let himself age in a normal way. He looks awful.

by Anonymousreply 24July 24, 2021 12:37 AM

Ok Marc - but now can we talk about the tattoos that make you look like a methed out crack whore?

by Anonymousreply 25July 24, 2021 12:41 AM

Buy one procedure get one free doesn't work out for victims/patients.

Face lift and check implants?

Freakish.

by Anonymousreply 26July 24, 2021 12:45 AM

I always found him sexy, even when he had put on all the weight. I don't think he needed it, but better he went this route over the fillers, and Botox... or the dreaded thread lift procedure. It's hard on an ageing face to gain quickly, and lose that weight quickly, as Jacobs did. His post "Fuck gravity!" made me laugh.

By the looks of things, he left his eyes alone, which was smart. It's awfully hard to tell of the results with him photographed lying down. We need to see his new superpowers resisting that pesky gravity. I should think he's still swelling, so we need to reserve our judging till after the healing process. He's been theough a lot in life: Heroin addiction, boozing and living on junk food, and trying to starve himself. I only wish him well. Despite all his vices, is good genes held up IMHO.

by Anonymousreply 27July 24, 2021 12:45 AM

Unveils new face after plastic surgery and hyperbaric cold chamber treatment- sounds like a typical DL ELDERGAY.

by Anonymousreply 28July 24, 2021 12:48 AM

And you sound like a typical non-binary incel, R28.

by Anonymousreply 29July 24, 2021 12:54 AM

The pearls.

by Anonymousreply 30July 24, 2021 1:05 AM

He looks a little like Sachs Baron Cohen in prosthetic makeup.

by Anonymousreply 31July 24, 2021 1:15 AM

It’s hard to believe he’s only 58. He has looked a lot older than that.

by Anonymousreply 32July 24, 2021 1:15 AM

^^ Sacha

He would have looked fine if he’d gone natural. Even with Gray hair.

by Anonymousreply 33July 24, 2021 1:16 AM

[quote] He looks like that Siegfried & Roy dude - I don't remember which was which

Would that be pre, or post tiger mauling?

by Anonymousreply 34July 24, 2021 1:16 AM

He's still as ugly as sin. Mothafucka looks like he been dead for 50 years and was mummified, poorly.

by Anonymousreply 35July 24, 2021 1:22 AM

His facial work reminds me a bit of post-plastic surgery Rupert Everett.

by Anonymousreply 36July 24, 2021 2:12 AM

[quote]He looks like Al Pacino.

More like Jack Mackenroth.

by Anonymousreply 37July 24, 2021 2:21 AM

haha I guess DL loves him huh

by Anonymousreply 39July 24, 2021 7:20 PM

by Anonymousreply 40July 24, 2021 8:00 PM

by Anonymousreply 42July 25, 2021 3:15 PM

This is what I'll never understand. How can a soap star like Deidre Hall or Susan Lucci (who have money... yes) get better surgery than someone like Marc Jacobs who has millions on top of millions. It looks like someone sewed a new face on to his old one.

I can’t stand Marc Jacobs. He always looks so stuck up and bitchy. Tom Ford seems so much more down to earth.

by Anonymousreply 48August 1, 2021 11:19 AM

R44 This bitch always looks so goddamn miserable. Does he ever smile?

by Anonymousreply 49August 1, 2021 11:20 AM

It's a wonder he is still alive, Marc used to party hard years ago.

by Anonymousreply 50August 1, 2021 11:23 AM

Two wordsh: David Guesht

by Anonymousreply 51August 1, 2021 11:26 AM

As trashy as he is, I do think it's refreshing how candid he is. His BFF Naomi refuses to cop to the extensive plastic surgery and cheek implants she's had done, but Marc puts it all out there. From dating porn stars to marrying hustlers, he's an open book.

by Anonymousreply 52August 1, 2021 11:28 AM

Plastic surgery is harder to get right on a man’s face. I hope he’s still swollen and starts looking better. His doctor charges like 75k for a facelift and so far it doesn’t look worth it!

by Anonymousreply 53August 1, 2021 11:32 AM

Do people still buy his clothes like they used to?

by Anonymousreply 54August 1, 2021 11:37 AM

Who cares about the face lift? The dyed eyebrows are hysterical!

by Anonymousreply 55August 1, 2021 11:53 AM

I'm pro cosmetic/plastic surgery, but the best results come from people who had clear aesthetic flaws (like huge nose, no chin etc). In his case the result is horrible. He looks freakish, a sort of Al Pacino-Michael Lucas trying to transition to female.

by Anonymousreply 56August 1, 2021 12:02 PM

Trying to transition to 22.

by Anonymousreply 57August 1, 2021 12:08 PM

Just Say No

by Anonymousreply 58August 1, 2021 12:16 PM

Here's the problem with plastic surgery few of its victims ever realize: in the real world, no one ever just sees your face.

So while your face may look 45, the rest of your body still looks 75.

People get delusional thinking that the carefully lit head shots they post on IG are what the world sees.

They'd be better off using photoshop.

by Anonymousreply 59August 1, 2021 12:22 PM

Questionable as the end result may be, and he is starting to morph into Jackie Stallone with those Kylie Jenner lips, I didn't realize it was possible to fully recover from a facelift in a few days. Does an oxygen chamber really accelerate tissue healing like that?

by Anonymousreply 60August 1, 2021 12:24 PM

Asking for a friend, R60?

by Anonymousreply 61August 1, 2021 12:29 PM

It really is too bad; sixty year old gay man struggling to look like he's forty. Problem is even at forty Marc Jacobs wasn't exactly an oil painting.

by Anonymousreply 65August 1, 2021 12:52 PM

[quote]Was just watching him on Drag Race. He’s super short.

Could he even move his mouth? And was he miserable as usual?

by Anonymousreply 66August 1, 2021 12:54 PM

Why doesn't he have his legs lengthened? Height looks good on a man.

by Anonymousreply 67August 1, 2021 12:58 PM

He looks like a completely different person

by Anonymousreply 68August 1, 2021 1:04 PM

Did he get his sphincter tightened as well?

by Anonymousreply 69August 1, 2021 1:09 PM

I met him in person he is not “super short” I don’t remember that. If he’s short in a freakish way that didn’t stand out to me , so to speak. He was really sweet and definitely cute. Of course he was probably not even 30. What did stand out was how sweet he was. Maybe he isn’t sweet . He was already famous but not super famous. His surgery looks terrible.

by Anonymousreply 70August 1, 2021 1:17 PM

His husband is 5'11 and Marc is clearly 3 or 4 inches shorter than him.

by Anonymousreply 71August 1, 2021 1:20 PM

R71 is correct.

by Anonymousreply 72August 1, 2021 1:23 PM

Nobody has anything bad to say about Marc as a person. He’s very loyal and unpretentious, which can be a rarity in the fashion industry (he certainly seems to live by the adage ‘Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.’)

However, substance abuse and insecurity have driven most of his life decisions over the past 40 years. He’s the king of self sabotage. From exclusively pursuing relationships with a significant power imbalance (both in age and finances), as well as making questionable business decisions, he seems to prefer taking the hard road in life.

by Anonymousreply 73August 1, 2021 1:35 PM

[quote]He’s very loyal and unpretentious

Unpretentious?! Oh, my sides! He’s THE definition of pretentious. Total stuck up bitch thinking he’s better than everyone else.

by Anonymousreply 74August 1, 2021 2:21 PM

Does he still work? Does Marc Jacobs clothing still get sold?

by Anonymousreply 75August 1, 2021 2:41 PM

Tom Ford would never!

by Anonymousreply 76August 1, 2021 3:17 PM

His husband isn't all that. You'd think Marc could buy someone hotter.

by Anonymousreply 77August 1, 2021 3:20 PM

I met the lovely, internationally-renowned fashion designer, Marc Jacobs.

“I love to collect things. There’s nothing I like better than shopping for knick-knacks.”

Marc nibbled a humble salad and sipped on Evian water.

“I like to maintain a healthy lifestyle.”

It’s hard to believe that Marc’s 39 years old. She looks so young.

So young.

by Anonymousreply 78August 1, 2021 3:27 PM

The plastic surgery doesn't look bad, I will give him that.

All the glossy black hair dye is too much, though. You can get away with that for a long time but then you have to give up or you start looking like Ronald Reagan during his presidency. At some point, you just have to accept you're aging and nothing can stop that, much less reverse it.

by Anonymousreply 79August 1, 2021 3:46 PM

Mr. Ford is looking squinty-eyed these days with spray on hair. Their insecurity about the changes to their appearance is being taken advantage of. See Madonna for another example of bad/ too much work.

by Anonymousreply 80August 1, 2021 5:15 PM

Does he have to keep his new face in the fridge when he isn't wearing it?

by Anonymousreply 81August 1, 2021 8:04 PM

WHET to the big dick rentboy who got Marc Jacobs tattooed on his forearm?

by Anonymousreply 82August 1, 2021 8:06 PM

I think the doctor did a good job on him and Sonja Morgan as well. Restrained. However, agree that it's the hair and eyebrows that are looking bad. Reminds me of Pavarotti. Aside from the hair color, I think there are some bad transplants ... something going on with Jacobs' hair.

by Anonymousreply 83August 1, 2021 8:24 PM

If Madonna, Marc Jacobs, and rest both famous or not can't handle late fifties to early sixties, heaven help them should they live into their seventies or beyond.

On what planet do people like Calvin Klein believe they are attractive?

by Anonymousreply 85August 1, 2021 9:57 PM

Looking at these pictures taken with Lorenzo Martone, you can see Marc Jacobs while not pocket gay sized, he's not exactly tall either.

IMHO issue for many middle aged and older gay males (along with a healthy dose of straight men as well), comes when they are involved in youth and physical beauty orientated industries.

Some people just cannot handle fact they aren't hottest thing in shoe leather anymore, worse are hurtling towards middle age then old age. Both of which they consider equivalent to invisibility and obscurity..

by Anonymousreply 90August 1, 2021 10:53 PM

He looks great in r86. He needs to give up the dye. Perhaps a lighter shade of brown for the eyebrows and keep the top silver fox like. I imagine he has depressive issues and major insecurities, that madness a lot of creative people have. He was a good friend of Lee Radziwill and was invited to her funeral, curious pair. Just as shallow and vapid as one another perhaps?

by Anonymousreply 102August 2, 2021 12:19 AM

So she’s holding a lighter in the pic at R100. That explains a lot. Smoking is the worst thing you can do for healing after plastic surgery.

by Anonymousreply 104August 2, 2021 12:28 AM

It's too bad that Marc fucked off in his early years. Any friends I have in my 20's, I say go for it, men and women. Marc missed those hot years, got his body in amazing shape as he was entering mid life and then took it to the next level with this. I think you guys are being excessively harsh and I love judging bad surgery. He doesn't look bad at all. Zac Efron was gasp worthy because he was still young and beautiful, but I think he looks good. He's not a freak show. I think these facelifts are better for men vs. the botox and fillers route,

by Anonymousreply 113August 2, 2021 2:54 AM

by Anonymousreply 117August 2, 2021 3:20 AM

R113 and R114

Piece on MJ from NYT last year should answer your queries.

In a nutshell Marc Jacobs is still relevant. Also like Michael Kors and many other designers Mr. Jacobs is more than about just clothes. His name is licensed to scores of things from beauty to handbags/accessories to fragrance and more.

Is MJ and his high end fashion brand all it once was? That's hard to say and even MJ himself will admit as such. He's a nearly 60 year old man long at the game in an industry that constantly craves newness.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 118August 2, 2021 3:37 AM

He will be rich for the rest of his life if only for his "Daisy" perfume and its zillion and one flankers. They are still THE hip fragrances for most women under 25 in the Western world.

by Anonymousreply 119August 2, 2021 3:40 AM

Finally for those who haven't caught on yet, this whole "openness" and whatever Marc Jacobs is going on about his recent face lift is yet another way of keeping himself out there. Already people are commenting on how it is "great" that a man is being open about something many of them do (both gay and straight), and how its refreshing for MJ to be so honest about things.

by Anonymousreply 128August 2, 2021 9:33 AM

R118 this "piece" doesn't answer anybody's "queries" because it's just empty PR fluff from T Magazine, which exists to provide the NYT with ad revenue. The writer has no authority on fashion; if you search his byline, he's only written on topics pertaining to British-Indian culture. But of course he does worship celebrity:

"THE JACOBS I felt I already knew struck me as that rare breed of designer whose talent has long intersected with the spirit of an age. If the reason for the emergence of such a figure every 25 years or so is always a little mysterious, it is because no one can anticipate the work they do until they have done it — think of Yves Saint Laurent putting women in trousers on the eve of the women’s liberation movement in 1966 — and yet, in retrospect, nothing seems more obvious. Jacobs belongs to that small tribe of people (as does, say, the director David Lynch, or the artist Lynda Benglis) whom the world initially greets with puzzlement, but whom, having proven themselves forerunners to so much else in the culture, no one can imagine the world without."

This is the rhetorical the equivalent of a sloppy rim job:

"LONG BEFORE INFLUENCERS and social media managers, Jacobs knew the importance of becoming a brand. Over the years, he has embodied a dozen sociologies related to gay culture, from the embrace of the body beautiful in the mid-aughts, when he famously shook off his chrysalis of flab and long, unkempt hair to reveal the hard sinew of an Instagram-ready body, of sex-positivity, of rehab and wellness, of marriage, and now, with his jewel-encrusted nails and rhinestone hairpins, of gender fluidity."

embodying a dozen sociologies? chrysalis of flab? gag me with a spoon, Heather.

The most revealing parts are about Jacobs' childhood; I knew his mother was a nut job and he went to live with his grandfather on Central Park West, but I didn't realize his younger siblings were taken into foster care and that Marc has had zero to do with them since. I can't imagine the trauma he experienced but I'm shocked that his siblings were shipped off to god knows where and he doesn't seem to care what happened to them. That's cold.
