Here’s another one. Prince Franz, Duke of Bavaria. He’s a German prince and the current claimant to the Stuart crown of Great Britain, Scotland, and Ireland. He’s 80 and unmarried, here he is with his younger partner a famous photographer. His claim passes to his brother, and then to that brother’s daughter Sophie’s who is currently the wife of the Crown Prince of Liechtenstein. That puts Sophie’s son Prince Wenzel in the awkward position of eventually being the ruling prince of Liechtenstein but with a claim to the crown that his very distant cousin William of Cambridge will wear.
