Anyone guess who the film star is?
Drugs, Death and Denial at a Rehab for the Rich
by Anonymous | reply 58 | August 1, 2021 9:22 PM |
Robert Downey Jr? Reference to multiple blockbuster franchises.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | July 22, 2021 4:47 PM |
Johnny Depp
by Anonymous | reply 2 | July 22, 2021 4:48 PM |
Ben Affleck
by Anonymous | reply 3 | July 22, 2021 4:55 PM |
Going with Depp. This sort of place seems like the kind he would be drawn to. A sleazy rehab. Great.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | July 22, 2021 4:55 PM |
Affleck
by Anonymous | reply 5 | July 22, 2021 11:48 PM |
Depp was my first guess.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | July 22, 2021 11:55 PM |
Any other hot mess stars we can think of?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | July 23, 2021 4:01 PM |
Armie but he wasn’t in franchises
by Anonymous | reply 8 | July 23, 2021 4:33 PM |
There were blind items about Affleck and heroin years ago. I feel like this may be a younger star here.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | July 23, 2021 5:41 PM |
Is this really the best location for rehab?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | July 23, 2021 5:42 PM |
I don't think it is Robert Downey Jr. Didn't he have a soft detox in jail? And kind of is a functional addict now? Ben Affleck's drive to detox, where they stopped at Jack in the Box, and had pictures of him grabbing that greasy bag, seems more public. I don't recall Depp wanting, or going, to detox. So Affleck?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | July 23, 2021 5:48 PM |
God, these two are pure criminals!
They are "bad for the Jews" as the say, a couple of evil money-grubbers!

You forgot to mention that pic is from August 2018, troll.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | July 23, 2021 8:33 PM |
Do you think its Brad? Wouldn’t be surprised. There were rumors of him being on the hard stuff.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | July 27, 2021 12:18 AM |
It's got to be Depp, Affleck, or RDJ based on the multiple franchises hint.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | July 27, 2021 12:21 AM |
Brendad Ickson?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | July 27, 2021 12:25 AM |
"who had RECENTLY appeared in multiple blockbuster franchises" - that doesn't sound like the Johnny Depp of 2020.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | July 27, 2021 12:27 AM |
Chris Evans. Loves crack and bareback sex with hobos!
by Anonymous | reply 19 | July 27, 2021 12:30 AM |
I thought Depp - BUT - would they hit him up for $$$ when he’s had financial problems?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | July 27, 2021 12:31 AM |
Booze and Jack In The Box takeout, on the way to recovery from booze.
Affleck is such trash. But I don't think he does heroin.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | July 27, 2021 12:36 AM |
Johnny Depp appeared in Fantastic Beasts in 2018. It's him.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | July 27, 2021 12:39 AM |
Multiple franchises could also mean:
Evan Peters
Dwayne Johnson
Patrick Stewart
Karl Urban
Hugo Weaving
Orlando Bloom
Nicolas Cage
Jason Statham
Luke Evans
Simon Pegg
Samuel L. Jackson
Benedict Cumberbatch
Corey Stoll
among many, many others.

Johnny Depp has a mansion above Sunset Boulevard, near Sweetzer Avenue.
He's do close to the Red Door, rehab center he could walk there! Or maybe stagger there.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | July 27, 2021 12:45 AM |
Matthew Perry apparently had an interest in some rehab but it folded. But I can't think of any blockbusters he was in. Sometimes BIs are a bit "generous" (major movie star, a-lister etc)
by Anonymous | reply 25 | July 27, 2021 12:50 AM |
Either Affleck, Depp or Downey, Jr.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | July 27, 2021 1:09 AM |
Johnny Depp.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | July 27, 2021 1:12 AM |
Ben Affleck doesn't go to spurious rehabs for rich people. He goes to the real hardcore rehab places like Promises.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | July 27, 2021 1:13 AM |
I think Depp detoxes on his private islands. I doubt he even goes to rehabs.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | July 27, 2021 2:44 AM |
Many “sober living” homes have spurious reputations.
But, to establish one in that neighborhood is tantamount to advertising built-in relapse.
Used to be that the parking lot outside the biggest NA meeting, on Saturday night in Honolulu, was the best place to score drugs.
Rehab residences are best located away from urban temptation.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | July 28, 2021 4:01 PM |
It's RDJ.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | July 28, 2021 4:02 PM |

What blockbuster franchise was Depp in other than POTC?
by Anonymous | reply 32 | July 28, 2021 4:35 PM |
Elijah Wood maybe?
by Anonymous | reply 33 | July 28, 2021 5:19 PM |
The celebrity is clearly Dame Judi Dench.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | July 28, 2021 5:34 PM |
Why did the suggestion that it was Chris Evans stick in my head? I hope it's not true because he has a rare quality I'd call "heartbreakingly handsome." To me he's "handsome" personified.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | July 28, 2021 5:37 PM |
R31 You sound sure. Do you have insider info?
by Anonymous | reply 36 | July 28, 2021 5:37 PM |
[R36] Downey, Jr. does make sense because it's far more likely for a past heroin user to relapse than a normal, successful person in their 30's who's never had a drug problem to become a heroin addict.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | July 28, 2021 5:40 PM |
I'm guessing Owen Wilson. Depp would be dead by now if he was doing heroin with how much he drinks.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | July 28, 2021 5:43 PM |
Owen Wilson was in Cars 3 and Zoolander 2.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | July 28, 2021 5:45 PM |
That was my first thought too r1 but I looked and RDJr's interviews for Doolittle in early 2020 all seem normal. If he was in that much of a downward spiral in early 2020 like the article claimed, he wouldn't have been so lucid.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | July 28, 2021 5:49 PM |
[R39] And Owen Wilson has had a past drug problem and suicide attempts. Too bad because he's talented, as is his brother. One of those rare instances in which actor brothers are both good but different enough types so that they probably wouldn't be up for the same roles.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | July 28, 2021 5:50 PM |
The Fantastic Beasts thing, r32.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | July 28, 2021 5:50 PM |
R41 the article also states that the actor let the center control his finances. That doesn't sound like Depp or RDJ.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | July 28, 2021 5:52 PM |
That fraudster detox center operated in Dustin Lance Black's house.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | July 28, 2021 5:58 PM |
Of course Dustin Lance Black funded Red Door. He's as dirty as Bryan Singer.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | July 28, 2021 6:00 PM |
He rents his house to these creeps. Nothing says he funds it.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | July 28, 2021 6:10 PM |
Isn't a Rehab on Sunset Blvd a contradiction in terms?
by Anonymous | reply 47 | July 28, 2021 6:38 PM |
The trio of Downey, Depp and Affleck for some reason conjured up an image of Hollywood 7 dwarves. All named Dopey.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | July 29, 2021 5:32 AM |
It's not RDJ. The article states that the rehab managers controlled the star's finances during the time he was in their care. Susan Downey would never agree to something like that, she'd remain firmly in charge. This has to be Depp, or someone lower on the Hollywood A-list that hasn't been mentioned.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | July 31, 2021 9:19 PM |
Nothing about RDJ's recent public life suggests this. He's too busy wearing bunny ears and inventing vegan cheese.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | July 31, 2021 9:26 PM |
"As the star’s addiction worsened in early 2020, Shohet became the client’s personal chaperone, known in the treatment field as a sober companion."
Assuming this means Shohet spent time with the person in question, it shouldn't be too hard to figure out. But I doubt it's Depp and no way it's Downey.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | July 31, 2021 9:30 PM |
This article is a hit job. Talks about a rehab facility for rich people being a place that “lures” high priced clientele. Um, yeah, it lures rich drug addicts by specifically telling them “This is a least harm facility. If you want that, fine. If you don’t understand what least harm means, we’ll tell you. And if you don’t want that, don’t come here.”
I would never run a place for spoiled druggies. You’ll get your ass sued off. I hope they’ve stashed money overseas that can’t be touched by rich addicted dicks.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | July 31, 2021 9:41 PM |
Since when does the Hollywood Reporter do blind gossip items? Does the ‘attorney’ who runs crazy days crazy nights or Blind Gossip also work for the Reporter?
by Anonymous | reply 53 | August 1, 2021 12:37 PM |
I think it’s Chrissy Metz.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | August 1, 2021 12:51 PM |
Same thing as a place in North Carolina called Magnolia Landing. They claim to specialize in holistic help for women’s addiction and other issues but have no formal therapists as they claim to. They have aggressive newly “sober” women around women who have other issues like eating disorders and manic depression but the faculty has zero training for the other issues so the addicts bully them. It is a dangerous place for anyone especially people who don’t have just one thing (drug or alcohol addiction) they take money for services not provided, they lie about what they do and are equipped to do and they hire ex addicts as their “therapists”. They also allow the women to go offsite where they call their boyfriends to meet up for sex in parking lots. Fuck them for how they get away with this Dana Taylor should be in jail!
by Anonymous | reply 55 | August 1, 2021 1:12 PM |
Quick everybody! Name every single troubled/normal actor that you can think of!!!!!
You bitches are morons.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | August 1, 2021 1:18 PM |
Maggie Smith and the Downton and Harry Potter franchises. She'd got plenty of money for the best drugs.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | August 1, 2021 1:38 PM |
Definitely Maggie. Loves her tina.
