Why hasn't anyone come for the fact that this doesn't have a black, trans director or writer?

This movie looks lovely, but I'm confused: I thought only X were supposed to tell X stories. In this case, this is a black, trans woman's story - written by a non-binary person who seems of Latinx origin and directed by a Cis Gay Black Man. How come this is acceptable? Is it actually that no cis straight white/cis gay white people should be directing anything that's not cis and white? If so, that lumps everyone NON cis/white into one larger category - and we know groups of people aren't monoliths.

Can someone tell me what the rules are now? I'm so confused!

Because it's directed by Billy Porter and nobody cares.

It's going to be a cliche-ridden, "I love myself" mess, with a theme song screeched by Miss Porter herself.

Mess.
