Found out an online acquaintance is actually a cat fish.
So back when Twitter was newish, I followed a bunch of gay guys in my city around my age- (early to Mid 20s). A few of them slowly drifted off Twitter, a couple of them became my best irl friends and there was one guy I had never actually met but had almost daily contact with. We chatted on Twitter and Instagram. Yesterday I figured out through some digging and investigating that he’s actually a cat fish and instead of being the 33 year old that I assumed he is actually a 60+ year old married man. I’m not overly shocked as I had some suspicions (although I often dismissed them) and I feel vindicated that my hunch was correct. I feel gross that I’ve sent the odd nude pic to him. Friends say I should tell his wife and bust it right open but I don’t really want to ruin his life or risk him plastering my nude pics in retaliation.
I’d love to find the real person in the pictures he’s been using. I’ve definitely learned my lesson not to trust anyone online again.

People casually sending nudes is a sad thing. It goes to show you the power of erosion of morals over time.
Before the internet, if someone asked you to send a photo of yourself nude in the mail you would not do it.
People are slowly giving up everything to Silicon Valley.
Let this be a lesson about yourself and not a commentary on other’s actions. Why are you in this position? What other morals have you ceded in the name of technology? Honor is clearly out the window. What about modestly? Gone. What else are you willing to part with?
Today it’s a nude pic that you so carelessly turn over to a malignant force; tomorrow, it’s your soul.

Can’t believe he managed to get away with it for a decade. Fooled so many people.
