The real reason Greener Acres was cancelled was not the rural plunge but because Eddie Albert kept getting hard-ons, when he had to do a bed scene with Ava Gabor.

"Purge", OP. It was the rural purge, not the rural plunge. CBS's rural shows were doing fine in the ratings, but the network decided it didn't want to be associated with them anymore. Or something like that.
Anyway, Eddie Albert in Green Acres days was hot, so Eva may not have objected. Perhaps the real problem was that the kept fucking like rabbits instead of finishing the scenes.

"Green Acres" actually used that predicament as inspiration for the episode wherein Mr. Haney tries to sell Mr. Douglas a slightly-used "Classic Pink Lady Flesh Light" device.

Eva never had the problem with Merv Griffin.

OP Do you mean "Green Acres"? Do you mean Eva Gabor? Maybe just give a quick proofread before posting?
