I've noticed this too. If you look at the first thirty men on grindr in my area and then compare to the first thirty straight men on Tinder, the straight men are significantly more attractive.

Gay men do tend to take care of themselves more than straight men so it creates the illusion that gay men are hotter, but they're starting with raw materials that were less attractive at their peak.

I agree somewhat. I think, generally speaking, straight men have bigger/muscular builds (which I find attractive). Maybe they are more physical as well (sports, blue collar jobs). Just a thought.

Some neighborhoods will have large pockets of hotties. Most will be average to below average. You would think the exceptionally attractive ones would have lots of choices and not be online as much.
