Spellcheck / predictive corrections
OK, something is going on that is making me seem far more illiterate than I actually am.
Just posted a sentence, banging along without proof reading, and just like that it autocorrected to "It isn't a surprised".
Does anyone know is this a function of DL or has Apple gone mental? (Mac user and I feel like Apple has entered that stage of life where each new version is filled with dumb ideas masquerading as improvements because they've run out of actual improvements to make.) If it's an Apple thing, anybody know where I can throw the switch and turn it off, because on DL (though I don't post anywhere else) it is predicting bad things.

Try having your phone set to spell check in 3 languages. Disaster and now me and the "oh, dear" guy are practically conjoined twins.

I have problem enough with auto-correct in just two languages, R2. Switching languages unleashes an obstinate streak in the corrections.
I would turn-off auto-correct in English and suffer the occasional embarrassment, but it's more than a little useful in the other language. Without English auto-correct, it will try to correct everything in English to another language.
Why are English contractions so impossible for auto-correct? I type "its" and it comes out "it's"; type "it's" and it's "corrected" to "its"...100x a day a fuck up of opposites when in most cases the context is clear enough to indicate that one use os correct and the other isn't. And too much it's/its-ing seems to trigger a new level of intensive onslaught of unwanted corrections.

I love how my phone assumes that capitalized words I've used are frequent locations. I'll type in a text "I'll meet you at the..." and real locations I go to pop up. Like a sucker, I used it, and realized that it opened up a can of android stalking worms.

I don't think it's DL. I think it's tied to enabling it on your device or browser.
