I don’t know, OP. I used to believe that the internet was not a reflection of real life but I’m starting to believe it is. Maybe at one point it wasn’t but today I believe it is a reflection. The dislike for women, lesbians, Jews…the attitude gay men have towards Jews is very odd. It’s sad and depressing and it makes me wonder why Jews support gay rights, lol. I’m thinking they should stop.

I figure it is the total bottoms that hate women the most. I chalk it up to jealousy. Honestly, I don’t think about women all that much. I laugh at some of the frau posts, but some of that shit just sounds bitter as fuck. Like the posters are straight up unhinged and obsessed with women. I can’t relate, as I have always been a momma’s boy and close with my twin sister.

I had a gay male roommate who was very misogynistic. Rude noises like belches and farts were constantly greeted with the cry of “lesbian!“ Not to mention how he wouldn’t let me listen to Helen Reddy in the car (which would have been a non-issue if he had ever gotten enough money to pay for the license on his own car that got repossessed), and he refused to eat fish because it said it reminded him of his ex-wife’s vagina. But he would gladly eat ice cream, and drag queens and TQ+ propaganda he had zero objection to. Yet [italic]The Boys in the Band[/italic] he took offense to even though the biggest queen of them all was not in drag and had no delusions of being female. Then, one morning, his mother came to my front porch and started dumping her homophobic Christian bullshit on him. It was that last one which made me think that this is the root cause of his hatred of women.

Like all my former roommates, he was also a deadbeat who never made good on his promise to pay his share of the rent.

I despise straight women who post on DL, since they don’t give a shit about invading someone else’s safe space, and them doing it is a big intentional FU to gay men. For doing it, they deserve everything and more of what is heaped on them.

GWM here. I have many very close female friends, am pro-choice, am the sole caregiver among my 3 siblings for my aging mother, and voted for HRC. I just think women are generally super shitty drivers. Lack of knowledge of the rules of the road, easily/constantly distracted, etc.

Honey my late partner and I would walk around Glendale in the 1990's as openly gay men. It was full of newly arrived Armenians (not gay-friendly at all even if some are changing now), old time Republicans and their offspring, and some of the Latino teenagers bussed in from the then gang-infested Echo Park. NEVER did we assume we were safe on the street or have a notion that any place other than our home was a "100% gay safe space". Not the gay bookstore, video store or bar. Most gay men do not hate woman. However, for some reason woman are under the impression that no one should or could hate them. Conversely, hating gays is OK if not with them, people they know, a husband, boyfriend co-worker, parent, etc. Then its " those people are entitled to their opinions" but woman have a double standard when it comes to men and gay men.
