TV SHOWS THAT SHOULD HAVE LEFT WELL ENOUGH ALONE
Let's discuss one-time hits that were rebooted with tragic consequences...
Thought I'd make this a poll, but honestly there's just WAY too many choices for that.
For me, the most disappointing was the 2005 reboot of The Night Stalker. I think watching it actually killed Darren McGavin.

Three's Company should not have become Three's a Crowd
All in the Family should not have become Archie Bunker's Place

The 'Dallas' reboot wasn't horrible, but Cynthia Cidre and her team didn't do their homework on the original series. It was also way, way too fast-paced and "twisty" for the target viewers like myself to keep up with. I quit caring about it by the 2nd season because I knew with all the twists and turns, it wouldn't matter who double-and triple-crossed who. The original made you wait for the payoff with some suspense, instead of throwing 17 plotlines at you per ep.

Homicide: Life on the Street should never have added Falsone and Ballard.
