Not to be a contrarian but I think he's a decent actor and believe he has a very unique fashion sense for someone so young. We are so used to seeing actors make no effort at all when it comes to fashion (Leo comes to mind), or they go the uninspired t-shirt / ripped jeans look (almost everybody else). I like that he takes chances - with the roles he selects and what he wears. The fact that TC is not classically handsome will likely allow him to take on roles the pretty boys can't, even as he ages. As for his career, he has three movies coming out.

Unless it's an outright disaster, the Wes Anderson film will do fine. Anderson has such a dedicated following of uber fans, he's basically review proof at this point as long as he can attract big name actors to work for peanuts and he keeps the budgets under control.

Dune is a big question mark. Beloved title/franchise but hard to film and get right. It has a hot director but....if it's a huge success, Tim-O-Tay moves up the ladder. If it's a moderate success, he stays put as a potential big star but not quite there yet. If it's a disappointment, he'll continue as an art house star. If it's a catastrophic bomb...he'll still stay an art house wunderkind at least for awhile longer because he's still cute enough to get good press.

He's also in the huge ensemble of Adam McKay's "Don't Look Up". If that's a hit, it certainly doesn't hurt and if it's not...the same thing. That's the beauty of doing ensemble films if you're not the head of the ensemble.

And, he's filming a new thriller for Guadagnino...w/o Armie!!!! It sounds super art housey so unless it's some surprise mega hit, it will just continue his reign as an Arthouse Boy Star.

His big problem will be aging out of that niche of cute boy star. He's so thin and boney and ethereally handsome/not handsome and that's not a look that transitions well into mainstream stardom of any kind for an actor.

Dune is not going to flop. The same director managed to turn a Blade Runner sequel into an art house hit.

Dune is far from being a surefire hit. It's a popular literary property but has a very checkered history in being adapted for film/TV. It's a huge sprawling WEIRD story with a huge cast and complicated plot. And, to make things more difficult, Covid really fucked with its release so it's now an "old" media event that's been hovering around for so long, people are vague about its status. "Didn't that already come out?" Plus, it's another ensemble cast film without any huge stars in it but this time, Tim-0-Tay IS the lead of the ensemble so if it does totally tank, it can hurt him to a degree.

They may have a tough sell ahead of them and it's far from a sure thing.
