The Crying Game - 30 Years Later
How long did it take you to figure out that Dil was a man?
Was Fergus/Jimmy in love with Jody? He kept having flashbacks and dreams about him.
I had no idea that Jim Broadbent was "Col" the bartender!
Jaye Davidson dropped out of acting only two years later because he didn't like the fame. What a wacko.
Oh, and Stephen Rea's wife was a real life member of the IRA who set off a bomb that killed 200 people!

Really OP? Some people might have not seen the film.

Why did Jaye Davidson get all those ugly tattoos and start weight lifting?
Interestingly, his Wiki page says:
[quote] Davidson is gay. During his acting career, he said that his androgynous look alienated him within the gay community; he stated that gay men "love very masculine men. And I'm not a very masculine person. I'm reasonably thin. I have long hair, which isn't very popular with gay men." He later adopted a more traditionally masculine look, with a shaved head, tattoos, and a more muscular physique.
Sounds like he did it just to be more accepted by the gay community, and maybe find a date.
Pity. I liked him better with a thin frame and long hair.

I don’t think Fergus was “in” love with Jody. Weird question. Sure, he was haunted by him and came to care for him deeply in their short time together. It showed what kind of man Fergus really is. We obviously also learn about Fergus through his relationship with Dil.

Steven Rea's sons are handsome.
I like the one on the right. His name is Oscar Rea.

Sadly, I read a review that spoiled it before seeing the film. It was still good.

I would love to find a man like Jimmy/Fergus.
He looks so old now, but Stephen Rea was my ideal in that movie.

When I saw the film in the theater I got every single clue, and whispered to my friend that I recognized the gay bar where the scene was filmed, that the song was in a drag queen key, etc. -And I was still totally stunned by the big reveal! I had all the dots, but I didn't/couldn't connect them. A good film.

I was devastated when Jimmy cut Dil's hair.
It was heart wrenching.
