I use Video DownloadHelper it is an extension for the Firefox web browser and Chrome web browser. It allows the user to download videos from sites that stream videos through HTTP.

And a Google search of the terms "Xtube is closing" and "Xtube is closing on Sept 5" turn up nothing about it closing.

When you log into xtube, the message comes up.

Thanks R13, I was going to Xtube but not logging in, I almost never log in to Xtube but I see it now.

I've always used Internet Download Manager. It's a one time paid software. I've had a license for nearly a decade now. It's not very useful for live streams these days though since Adobe ditched Flash.

I'm not personally seeing any messages on Xtube about them shutting down, but I'm not surprised either. There are millions of porn tube sites around these days, many of which are owned by a small handful of companies.

I've been watching porn online since the 90's, I never save videos. Do you guys maintain a library, do you go back a re watch things over and over? I find a fresh scene when I'm in the mood, rarely over 10 minutes. I may watch 20 of those if I'm edging.

If your favorites collection was anything like mine, the ship has sailed. About the same time as all that pornhub brouhaha earlier this year, they wiped 95% of my favorites from xtube. I just checked, there's only 5 videos in my list now. I learned my lesson back when tumblr got killed and downloaded things as I went.

Not to be that guy or anything but Xtube is for the undesirables and the ugly.

When I buy premium content I usually go to only fans and only from a select group of Models. It's much more classier to be hones.

Video Download Helper never works for me on HLS streaming videos. I've had to find other extensions for Chrome or Firefox to do the trick.

I've used this site to download songs (just audio) for years and years. I download it into my Windows media player

I think you can download video by choosing MP4
