I’m not surprised he’s a conservative. He’s a successful straight white male. All successful straight white males are demonized by the far left. I don’t know the guy, but he doesn’t seem like a right wing nut. There are people who are conservative based on fiscal beliefs while being open minded on social issues. There are Dems who vote left based on fiscal beliefs and don’t support gays or abortion, this is true especially amongst minorities

From the linked interview, Phil seems like a nice enough guy, but now I'm having the same feelings of disinterest and distrust regarding his sincerity as I did when I found out Jake Tapper is a Republican.
