I stream it for $10/month. Less selection, but damn those discs are too expensive even at 50% off.....

by Anonymousreply 1July 3, 2021 2:38 PM

I might buy Moonstruck.

by Anonymousreply 2July 3, 2021 2:54 PM

Amazon also has them at 50% off. I was lucky to have purchased the Wong Kar Wai set early on before it sold out.

I got Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Smooth Talk and Working Girls (NOT Working Girl).

by Anonymousreply 8July 10, 2021 7:51 PM

I ordered Working Girls off Amazon. I remember when this was released and played at arthouse theatres. I never got to see it.

by Anonymousreply 9July 10, 2021 8:26 PM

I’d love to see Criterion issue Peggy Sue Got Married.

by Anonymousreply 10July 10, 2021 9:06 PM

Working Girls is fantastic, R9. I hope you enjoy it.

I usually buy from Amazon, but when I went to order, Working Girls was still $27.99 but $19.99 on B&N so I ordered all three there to get free shipping. The next day, Amazon had lowered its price, but no harm. Would have paid the same at either place.
