Why is this a story in the Daily Mail? Why would anyone care about a child star, now forgotten, who takes his dogs for a walk?

Home Improvement doesn't have much of a legacy for a show that was one of the biggest hits of the 90s. It's half-forgotten now.

I wouldn't say it's half-forgotten - people still remember it, they just realize it was crap.

JTT is older than Tim Allen was when Home Improvement started. Does that make you feel old?

For a show that was a huge hit, it's pretty much forgotten. It's not Friends or Seinfeld, which is still part of the culture and watched by younger people who weren't around back then.

Agree about the dogs as well.

He's gained a little weight in his body, but that face is bloated like crazy.

JTT had more charisma and was better-looking than the other two boys on Home Improvement and JTT physically looked like Tim Allen's son. Zach Ty Bryan though took after Tim Allen in the dumb MAGAT white trash personality department.

OK, but Friends or Seinfeld had a much bigger impact back then as well.

Home Improvement was a family sitcom. It was formulaic and safe. Friends and Seinfeld while quaint and dated today were groundbreaking at the time same with the anti-family shows like Roseanne and Married... With Children.

R23 my Zillennial Fraulein sister loves HOME IMPROVEMENT, though she doesn’t remember it being on TV when she was a baby.

Now she binge-watches it on streaming, on an iPad screen as she works out or does catch-up paperwork at home for her boring marketing job.

Home Improvement wasn't a terrible show. Just formulaic and basic. Tim's character was most definitely a Trumper and you can see that Patricia Richardson really didn't like him in how Jill always seemed annoyed.

You never hear about Home Improvement. For a show that was such a big hit for an entire decade, it's pretty much faded into the ether.

And he’s always had little dogs. I read in my babysitter’s Teen Beat or Tiger Beat back in the mid 90’s that he had a small dog named Mac (and later a cat named Simba!) so maybe he just likes them.
