So, she had four top ten records,I think. "Angel Of The Morning", "Queen Of Hearts", "The Sweetest Thing" and "Love's Been A Little Bit Hard On Me".

Her hair, vocals and attitude were unappealing. "Faux Folk-Pop-Country from a Blender" music that defined on edge of the development of twee.

Actually, my favorite Juice Newton song was one that the Carpenters recorded... "Sweet, Sweet Smile".

I love squeezing a little Juice into my music listening day. When I was escorted to the Ohio state fair by the unit nurse and psych tech for good behavior on the psychiatric care unit, I was lucky enough to find myself as a visitor the day that Miss Newton was performing! Wonderful good time country/politon listening gold.

I loved Queen of Hearts.

I adore her. Mist of her music is sugary pop but it was well done.

She always reminded me of Bailey from WKRP in Cincinnati.

We always sang it as Queen of Farts.

Absolutely one of her poppiest outings. I love the break with sterl drum solo.

I have all her hits singles. She had a few good years and then her shelf life was over. But will be remembered for some good stuff!

Agreed R14. Her rendition is lovely and sad—her vocals on it are lush and gorgeous. She brings a lot of sadness to it underneath that beautiful melody.

R19 But I still like the original version best by Merrilee Rush although I have both of them. It's haunting and beautiful.

Laraine Newman has the wonderful opportunity for a comeback when they make the film The Juice Newton Story. How she got her name alone is a movie in and of itself.

I remember one time my dad was out cheating, & his cover story was that he was at a Juice Newton concert in a bar (no less) & he stayed for her 2nd show. Mom & I watched the Audrey Hepburn film “Charade.” I do like “Angel” but it brings back bad memories!

I always liked Juice's version "Tell Her No."

But I also like The Zombies 1965 version.

There's only one thing wrong with Juice Newton. She's not ME.

Her cover of the late Gus Hardin’s swinger’s lament I’m Dancing as Fast as I Can is quite nice.

Someone at the time told me that she was Wayne Newton's kid sister and I believed that until quite recently.
