On WWHL Shandy was asked if she would have handled the drunken guest jumping into the water after dark differently than Lee who lost him temper and threw the guest off the boat. Shandy said she would have let the guest swim and have a good time but would have sent crew members into the water to watch over her. Seriously? And if all of them drowned she would just shrug it off? The woman is an idiot.

I just watched it finally. The sous chef sounded Eastern European and made a couple of comments about meat in general. If the boat she was borrowed from was a local charter yacht, it’s very possible that steak and lobster are in the chef’s wheelhouse. I had seafood in Croatia, but I never really saw steak and lobster/surf and turf type deals while I was there.

Season after season, we see crews expected to put up with limitless shit from guests, but telling a crew member to jump into the ocean at night with a drunk guest is undoubtedly a safety issue. I kind of wonder if Shandy just wanted to change the subject from her weird obsession with Malia.

The minute the food started coming in, he was overwhelmed. I could tell from his nervous energy meeting Captain Sandy, and then meeting the crew, and then worrying about the over abundance of food, and cooking for the guests, and the lights and cameras... this guy was a train wreck.

But you can't put it all on the producers.

Speaking as someone with anxiety issues, I would never put myself in this position. I would never go in front of the cameras in such a high pressure situation, and I would never seek a job where every single meal puts you on the spot. It's would be a fucking nightmare.

The only other time I've seen a chef slack on crew meals was Adam on Below Deck Med. I remember that the crew complained a couple of times that he didn't make meals for them, and Sandy had to order out for pizza.

He was partly doing it to be an asshole, and he would often serve them late. The crew would be starving by the time he put the food out, but even then he still made crew meals.

Amazing how Adrian was always so composed in the kitchen even when the guests were difficult. And his crew meals always looked great.
