For me the Barbara and James Stenbeck storyline is the continuing thread that's worth watching all the way until the end of the series. As for Luke and Noah though, I wanted to like their story but it's terribly dull ( like much of ATWT circa 2004-2010), and the actor playing Noah... can't act.

Am I the only one who would love to have seen what the luminous and vivacious Kathy Glass could've done with the role? Because Miss Glass was (and is!) so youthful looking, Marland would've had to rewrite the Iva/Lily story as Iva being Lily's DAUGHTER, but it could've worked. Miss Glass, with her superior Q score and history of record-setting teen fan mail, would've drawn in viewers under 85 to this show for a change.

Lisa Brown was involved in some meaty storylines on ATWT, and will forever be remembered for that "reveal" scene in the barn with Josh, Lily and the pitchfork. Still, she never seemed "right" for the Iva role to me. It was such a downer part, she was never happy, always miserable about something. Such a departure from her GL role.
