Read on AGC Blinds last year that Audie Murphy had a long-term affair with…James Cagney!

I don’t know if I can believe it, but it [bold]is [/bold]interesting gossip.

James Cagney looked like he could throw a fuck

I have heard/read elsewhere that Cagney was a closeted homosexual. I'll see if I can find a link.

[quote]an old rumor links Cagney with Noel Coward, who is said to have written the song "Mad About the Boy" for him.

I had not heard this in particular. This book, and the review (from 1997) attempt to quash any gay rumors.

I thought that Coward wrote that song about Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., R5.

Audie Murphy had a favorite horse named JOE QUEEN, that "he rode as often as he could in his own movies."

Douglas or Tyrone Power r6, according to Wikipedia.

I heard Mad About the Boy was about James Cagney too.

OTOH, if you've heard the song in its entirety, it's several different verses, each from a different point of view, so you couldn't automatically conclude it meant Coward and Cagney had a thing.
