I always thought it was funny how Cricket was being stalked and harrassed by a gay man (Michael) while married to a gay man (Danny).

He's been out to family, friends, and co-workers for years, and I'd say he's been working up to this type of public announcement for a few years now. It seemed to look more and more forthcoming ever since his husband threw him that big 60th birthday bash down in New Orleans, that was a fairly "public" affair.

Sure, CLB hosted GR down in Nawlins one Mardi Gras, but he was already with his husband at that point in time. And that's nothing that the couple hasn't done with many other Y&R cast members over the years. They love giving Y&R co-stars the grand tour of their beloved city. As for GR, I think when that blind item was circulating, he was actually still involved with that other screenwriter who's not his husband.

When Chrissy did that post last Christmas, he was obviously aware that Baby Yoda was becoming a gay icon.

It's funny how both Christian LeBlanc and Greg Rikaart both are gay in real life, but play brothers on Y&R who each stalked and terrorized women. Never forget: Michael Baldwin was a sex pest who attempted to kidnap Christine. Meanwhile, Kevin was an Internet predator who gave an underage Lily an STD. He also tried to kill Colleen.

That being said, I'm just not all that impressed anymore when it comes to these types who come out decades into a career, if not near the end...even if they've been doing the whole 'glass' closet thing where those 'in-the-know' knew. I mean, I get it, he's from a different time, maybe just wanted "privacy", etc...but at this point, it's like a 'eh, ok'. I probably shouldn't be like that, but I can't help it at this point.

Y and R was so much more fun when Michael and Kevin were bad.

I remember laughing my head off when, right before that scene at R75, we saw "Bad Michael" gag and hog-tie Nina and stash her in Cricket's bathtub. Fun stuff!

And LeBlanc is VERY aware of how much more fun and interesting it is to play "bad" in the soap genre. .. I recall that when the big brouhaha over Chris Engen (Adam) walking off set and quitting occurred, Soap Opera Digest interviewed some of the Y&R cast about this, and Chrissy let it be known that he'd kill to play a character as "complex" as Adam. .. He was obviously remembering the good ol' days when Bad Michael drove storyline and got to say and do all kinds of despicable things to the town's goody-two-shoes.

Of course, maybe he just wanted a chance to kiss the luscious lips of Yani Gellman's cute Rafe.

I don't think Engen really pursued any kind of acting career after he quit Y&R. That "Easy Rider2" movie with a date of 2012 was actually completed even before he even left Y&R in 2009. Sneak peaks of it were being shown at motorcycle conventions in early 2009. It's just that it took forever for the movie to actually be released in some way, shape, or straight-to-DVD form, because the producers kept trying to get some kind of distribution deal. .. And as I recall, his appearance in that short (student?) film called "Raincheck Romance" was only done as a personal favor to some friend.

Chrissy's going to start selling his own artwork online.

I've liked some of the stuff he's done in the past, but not those oyster studies he did a couple of years ago.
